Day After Microblading/Shading & I'm Freaking out

ORIGINAL POST

I immediately noticed when I looked in the mirror...

I immediately noticed when I looked in the mirror that my right eyebrow is more curved on top, making it look more raised than the left. The right looks more squared out, and blotchy, and the tails on both ends are not crisp. Both my eyebrows look WAY too thick and dark. But I've told myself it's because maybe we did too much on the first session and therefore maybe my eyebrows are just too irritated and need to calm down. They might not feel irritated to me but they can be without me realizing it. I'm only on the day after and they just look like sharpied on eyebrows. The shading just seems like too much, which sucks because I did a lot of research a went to the "best of the best" 2 hours away from where I live to get the best results. So I need a few, or a ton, of second opinions. What really concerns me is that today once arriving from work (just a few minutes ago), I let my hair down~ I had been thinking this whole time that maybe they looked so intense to me because my hair had been up, but now seeing them with my hair down has gotten me more worried. Everyone at the place I got it at told me they looked great and when I brought up removing pigment in case of any accidents to my microblading technician, she said it would be fully possible and on her if I wanted, meaning charge free for me. But I don't know how or when that would be possible because if I need to wait a month to heal, and then a second session to "perfect" them, which adds on another month of healing time, then where is the 3rd session in that timeline to remove any mistakes? -_- I don't want to panic, especially because I did this to myself, but they just look way too dark, way too thick, way too uneven for just the second day. They are stiff, but I can't tell if it's inflammation/irritation that needs to go down, or my skin healing too quickly where they're stiff because scabs are already formed, or if this is the end all be all failure of a final look, because from what I've read online, the day of your first session and second day should be the days they look they're best and on day 5 is when the scabs should form, and then they should lighten. But we used the darkest pigment next to black, and did both microblading and shading on top of the strokes all in 1 session. So, am I freaking out for no reason? Or am I completely screwed? What do you guys think? Photos below. Please be detailed in your responses. I'm just scared there's no going back and now my brows will be too dramatic and uneven, to even let my hair down period. Thank you.

Hi Hun, well they are definitely different and look very severe. I understand your issue, because I have recently had my done. If yours are like mine they will scab peel after about 4 days... And then there will be big gaps until they peel off completely. And the colour should fade.

The second session is supposed to address your issues with the size and shape, so shouldn't be as bad. I think we just have to be a little patient and prepare for lots of changes. Good luck! X

The second session is to address gaps. If the shape is ruined now, im screwed right?
May 29, 2018
No... they can sort that all out with your second appointment. Some people get gaps or the colour doesn't take so well, or they've wiped or picked scabs so there are patches that need to be redone. This should all be sorted in your second apt. Wishing you luck hunni, try to be patient. : )

By shape, what I mean is size. As in, if you look at my left eyebrow for example (the one that looks more blocky/squared out/really thick all over), if it looks so thick, how would the second session help me when I dont need that brow to be filled in, i need it to be thinner and shaped properly.

What she is saying is, what your are seeing now... is NOT what will be there by the time you get to your 2nd session. Yes, they may look a little thick, but I can almost guarantee you they will NOT look that way in 4 weeks. Just trust the process here and stop panicking until your face has healed a little bit and you go back to your second session.

Be patient!!! It can take up to five weeks for the pigment etc to all settle down to its final look. Your second appointment will deal with any issues of shape and remember eyebrows should be sisters - not twins. I've just had mine done again, and had forgotten how "angry birds" they can look at first so it was a bit of a shock. I'm on day 6 now and they have calmed down a lot but they are still bit scabby and dark. Have faith and follow your technicians advice

Just a thought, but when mine were really dark I very lightly brushed a little foundation over them and it really helped to lighten them up : )

Great idea however during the dark days which is about 7 days or so, you only want to put on a little bit of ointment and nothing else. :)

They will shrink about 30 to 40 percent. Let it go through the process and don’t try to remove pigment. You can make things worse and you don’t want infections. I wore a hat for the first week when I went in public. Good luck.

A little part of my brow fell off today while I applied my oil. That was a tad unfortunate, but they have significantly shrunk. They hurt. Some moments of the day more than others. Looks like the scabbing started immediately.

The person who did mine does wet healing. Wash with antibiotic soap CerVe after 24 hours and apply a thin layer of CerVe gel. Continue washing and applying gel daily. I had no scabbing or noticeable peeling. I had my second touch up and did the same treatment. They have faded and shrunk. Everyone’s healing method is different but I can testify that my results were good with the wet healing. They also never hurt. Keep updating

I experienced the same healing with the "wet" process!

They will totally thin out and lighten. I'm sure blonde and have been getting my brows done for 30 years. A week and they will be fine. Mine always look black for a week even when we do a light brown. I sometimes put powder on them when I go out during the week or two it takes to heal to lighten them up temporarily and soften the scary Groucho Marx look. I promise they will go lighter and thinner.

Update: Day 4

Azarath
Update. The left brow which looked totally huge and squared out has completley changed shape to look very similar to the right brow. It's as if they have both settled and become the correct shape and size. Odd.. I would have never thought my skin was that irritated because my brows only felt stiff but they didnt "feel" swollen or anything, so turns out where I went really is the best of the best and I just need to continue believing in the process. Some parts have prematurely peels off on their own. But I'm not worried about that because pigment can always be added back. My main concern was the symmetry and size, color can always be adjusted. I feel great now. So for anyone who read this post and say the photos and used this as a way to convince themselves microblading is not for them bc this sounded like a horror story, please dont be so scared like I was on my second day, or as some people would call day 1 ( the day after the procedure ).

Yes, they are not completley symmetrical (but that can be fixed in the following appointment) , and they look smaller in person (the camera makes them look a tad thicker, just a tad).

I'm a freak about my brows matching as well but, you have to remember, they're sisters, not twins and rarely does someone have identical eyebrows.

Day 5 of Microblading Healing. No Scabs Formed, but Skin is Peeling? Pigment is Missing.

Azarath

As you can see in the photos, scabs haven't formed. But parts of my brows (especially on the right brow) have fallen off, because the skin itself has peeled and fallen, taking the pigment with it. Like a snake shedding. I don't feel my brows being crusty, or hard, so I'm confused. Maybe they healed too quickly, or haven't healed at all? Shouldn't there be scabbing?

Look at the tail of the right brow. The outside line is there, it's blue. But the strokes drawn there aren't shown, they're gone, so is the shading. Look at the left brow, the front pigment is gone. Are my brows just going to peel off and have all the pigment missing? Why is only the outside staying? Can this be fixed in the follow up session? I don't know what to do.

How are they today? Has the pigment come back? This didn’t happen to me with the wet healing method. I would call the person who did the microblading and check with her.
June 4, 2018
its normal, i did check, and i wrote that which you missed entirely.

Don’t be rude. Your comment was not there.

Someone stating truth isnt rude, just stating a fact. I'm not wrong. You did in fact entirely miss a comment in the above posts before this one where I wrote:

"I spoke to the spa place I went to today on the phone (finally) and they said thats there's no "correct" way to heal since every one is different. I also submitted new photos that should be availbale on my account tonight or tomorrow with photos of my brows from yesterday (day 5) of skin thats peeled and fallen that show what looks like bald spots. So if my spa place says its normal and can be fixed in the second session, unless you see major blood or anything (because that would be a sign of an infection), during the first 2 weeks, it's too early to tell how you're skins responding. They say my photos so from the sound of it, both you and me are going through a similar process. Wait for my submission to be published by realself, take a look at the photos, decide if you're going through something similar and use that as assurance that everything is okay. Cheers."

To be fair, Tiagold was being kind and asked you how they were doing. If she missed that part of your post, not a big deal, she was trying to be helpful, and your reply did come off a bit rude.
