June 2nd at 5:30 am I was anxiously awaiting my new body at Vanity Cosmetics. My intentions were to update this review with all positives just as I've seen previously and based my decisions accordingly. I'm assuming that several females begin their journey on realself and never post after because of complications or the recovery process. I'll rather hear the good, the bad and the indifferent. HOWEVER...I decided to give my review based on my experience. Vanity is not equipped for emergency situations!!!! In the event that you cannot regain consciousness....you need to go directly to the E.R!!! They will push you out the door just as they did me with an alcohol pad under your nose. The Doctors at Jackson Memorial stated that this occurs often and that they need their certifications revoked!! My entire stay in Miami was at the hospital. I lost so much blood during surgery and needed a blood transfusion. The doctors were hoping that my hemo levels would increase without the aid of the blood transfusion due to my age. To no avail, MY levels dropped to 9.0 after surgery to 6.2. I was very fatigue, couldn't walk let along wipe my own assets. I was so weak that I needed assistance to reposition my leg because I couldn't lift my legs with the beds sheets on top of them. No energy at all!!! My heart rate was 128 while I was at rest, my BP was elevated. Ive never had any issues with high blood pressure. My heart rate was the typical rate of someone jogging or speed walking. I received 13 bags of fluid including potassium and 2.5 bags before I left Vanity. One of vanity's surgery assistance requested that my sister go and get me some soup. They hustle everday but tge facility doesnt have a can of campbell's soup stored in tge event that a patient needs something to regain their strength. Whenever the nurses tried to get me up to stand, I would faint or as my sister stated...it seemed like I was having a mild seizure (a blank or glassy like stare while my knees buckled )... I received physical therapy while I was in the hospital at Jackson Memorial ..I never would have imagined walking one day and needing assistance to do everything that we normally take for granted. Ladies pls be careful! I'm anemic and I'm in perfectly good health. I prayed about this surgery and I'm so thankful that the good Lord didn't see fit to take me soooo soon.

My labs were good. My hemo level was 12.5 before surgery. I take a iron supplement for my anemia but I've never felt faint before even during my cycle. Those were questions the doctors asked. Have this incident happened before? As soon as I arrived to the hosp. I was cut out of my garment. It was either the garment or my life and a I was placed on my back the whole duration of my stay. They contacted Vanity to notify them of my condition and to receive information concerning this procedure. My garment was drenched in blood. I can only imagine the expenses of this hosp stay.. As the days progress, my sister helped me rotate from side to side so that I wouldn't develop a blood clot or bed sore. Can you believe it a bedsore....omg, thank u , thank u, thank u! Vanity called everyday to check on my progress and wanted to set up a post op visit after discharge....Really?!? My sister was totally against it, however I had questions of concern...like the fluid that I thought was at the bottom of my stomach and the stitches. Why an ambulance wasnt called and possibly receiving an addutional garment. Be mindful that I was cut out of my garment, so during the hospital stay I was without any type of compression for 4 days. I went Vanity that Saturday and notified them of the situation.. Be mindful that Vanity were never honest with my sister about my condition, everytime she would ask how I was doing...they would respond that everything was going well. I didn't leave Vanity until It was 2pm , my arrival was at 5:30am surgery began at 6:00 am. Instead of Vanity calling the ambulance they fed me a Lil soup that my sister went to purschase and gave me some fluid and soon as i seemed a lil coherent they rolled me to the corner. When I arrived to the hospital I was told that I was pale.... I'm African American and I can't even imagine looking pale. I'll take there word for it...a couple days later everyone from the plastic surgery dept, the charge nurse, the Rn and the lab tech stated that I look so much better compared to when I came through those doors. I went to Vanity and questioned them about my situation. If you were aware of my condition why didn't you call the ambulance. They pushed out the door with the same alcohol swab that they used to awaken me when I fainted. They never told my sister I fainted several times..it was always stated that she was about to faint... I spoke to the nurse practitioner on the phone and as tears were rolling down my face I stated that I could have died...it's like Vanity pushed me out the door to die! She replied....that's why I let you go basically stating that they werent equipped to deal with this emergency situation. Common sense would have been to call the ambulance but no its extremely crowded at Vanity and that would have had an affect towards their business.

I guess it's normal to get a little nervous before surgery. My mind is definitely set, I've prepared for this procedure physically and mentally. I only pray that the Lord covers his mind and hands, please guide him though this process. Ladies, I hope everyone is enjoying themselves, living for themselves and loving themselves flaws and all. Happy Healing!!

My garments are a size 40 and a 42. In the pic I'm wearing the size 42. I had no problem putting this garment on. I concerned whether I need a smaller size garment? I also purchased the lipo foam and ab board, hopefully it will make a difference. Im glad I finally decided to go through with this procedure because the bottom butt syndrome has taking it's turn for the worst.lol
