After years of researching this procedure I have finally decided to have it done! I'm scheduled for mid July with DR. Mel Ortega in Miami. I just had my consultation and I would like to give my honest opinion about that. First, it was a hassle to get a time to meet with the doctor. I told them I was flying in and they acted like they couldn't provide a time because the doctor was so busy doing surgeries. But FINALLY I had a confirmed time. So I flew into Miami for my consultation. When I arrived at the office the front desk staff was pretty rude especially Layla. I wasn't even greeted upon entrance. I had to say excuse me and introduce myself. After waiting for about 45 minutes I met with Dr. Ortega. He seemed okay, not overly friendly or anything. My consultation was VERY rushed! I only was able to meet with him for about 20 minutes before he was rushed into surgery :( so I wasn't able to ask ALL of my questions. Over all I felt the consultation was very vague. He didn't talk much about what my expected results could be.

I did find him very friendly, but I think you and I have different expectations. It is not characteristic of me to take a chance and just put my faith in a provider without a lot of answers, but looking into Dr. Ortega and Spectrum, I expected only about 10 minutes to influence what he would do with me. Actually I found that he listened very closely and in the end rather than having to reel him in, I actually requested a size larger on my implants. If communication is important to you, this might not be thew best situation. I have watched other and results seem to be almost always favorable after the surgery, despite many having second thoughts and animosity going in. I did write down all my questions and even cut him off when I felt my answer was sufficient. I rushe him through the interviews before and after surgery thinking that he did not have time to waste talking to me.

hi kk.. i got my surgery with dr ortega on the 7th and overall my experience was similar to yours. The front desk staff isn't the friendliest and they usually are more interested in getting their own work done than providing good customer service... but if you engage them the girls are actually very helpful and nice. so give them the benefit of the doubt, its really the overall management coordination is the issue. i waited 3 hours to see the doctor for my pre op visit even though i was asked to come in earlier than my scheduled time. as far as Dr. ortega he's usually very patient and answers all your questions, maybe you caught him on a bad day. i've found if you shoot your contact an email with questions they get back to you within a day or two with the responses. but make sure you feel comfortable in your choice. its serious business and you want to make sure you feel supported when you get it done.

Hi, so are you having your surgery with him? Dr. Ortega? Am schedule for one in a few days. I also find the office a bit unorganized although I get my questions answered it takes a while to get them... I think it's more of a coordination issue am not working right now maybe I should give my resume to the doctor before the SX because people who are making such a big decision in their lives need more attention. I've just read a bad review and am sorta scared :/

Hey, I think you should try & speak with Ortega personally. Those girls at the front are unorganized & lackadaisical. But I have reas on here that he himself is very nice & attentive. With surgery so close you shouldnt be getting worked up about ANYTHING, positive feelings for happy healing :)

Im getting concerned that I need to chose a new doctor. Im not hearing great things about Dr. Ortega. If you have had a BBL with him recently please tell me your experience. Are you happy with your results??? Please give me the scoop. My surgery is scheduled for August with Dr. Ortega.

I did mines on may20 same thing here but wat I notice is the office is steady bz never saw so many woman do so much surgery till I went in to get my prescription.. But I like my result n I feel great alil still with minor lower back pain n stiffness at a2. But I'm still getting my messages of lymphatic drainge ..

I had my bbl procedure with de Ortega. The doc is very nice and does good work but the rest of the staff is not so great. Terrible customer service and long wait times are part of the experience.

I had my procedure on may7th this year and actually have lost a lot of the initial volume that I got so there is real disappointment on my side plus my liposuction sites aren't as smooth as I expected but that could be because of my body shape. Make sure u ask if they work with u for revision work. I didn't and it was a huge mistake.

Same here I'm supposed to be scheduled in May I haven't seen really no before and after pictures I'm nervous I've been hearing negative things about Dr Ortega and people not getting the results they wanted don't know what to do I'm thinking about going with the doctor ghaurani

I don't find this website that easy to navigate. I would like to be able to save profiles so that I can go back and view them. When I find one I like or is helpful, Its challenging to find that profile again. Even when I type the name of the profile in the search box. I just think this website could be more user friendly. I can also never just go back to where I was after I leave a page. Whats up with that? Anyone else find this website, incomplete? I mean I like it a lot but just wish it was easier to use.
