Gynecomastia Surgery - Miami, FL

I have an appointment wednesday april 8. It feels like a hard donut around the areola. It can't be a fluid build up cause I can feel the lump and I still have my drain tube and it has collected alot of fluid. I hope this is not long term since I am into weight lifting I am scared of this tissue. When I take off my vest I feel uncomfortable due to the fact that my nipple is hard and swollen

Keep in mind the lump/ donut doesn't affect the way my chest looks. It def looks flat now but still the lumpy nipple is an issue.

I'd try to focus on relaxing and recovering and ask the PS about it when you see him in a few days. Hopefully it is just fluid build up (seroma) and will resolve shortly on its own.

Did you have Lipo and gland removal for your gynecomastia surgery?

Yeah, I did. It was all done with a special canula that has the ability to cup. It was designed by Dr. Elliott Jacobs who I believe also teaches at Mt. Sinai (where I had my procedure performed).

Did you get a hard tissue or lumps 1 week after op?

Not on my chest, but I have a couple of spots of hardness in my abs (had Lipo there) that my ps said is scar tissue. He recommended I massage it. Since you are only 1 week from surgery, I wouldn't massage it.

Were you able to get rid of them?

I've had endermologie on the area which helped a lot. I think you would need to wait 4 weeks post surgery to try it.

I think it’s normal after lipo. You have to message the area. I’ve had them after lipo but all went away after consistent messages.

That it will go away with time. We will see what happens

Did he recommend doing anything in addition to waiting?

No but I just started massaging it

I am one week post-op feeling better each day . Swelling seems to be going down still have my drain but not much fluid coming down chest looks flat even though there still swelling there. I only had gyno on my left and it was severe I've had since I was 16 and It was very noticeable . My breast tissue was the size of a baseball
