I'm Burning My Wonder Bras!!!! - Miami, FL

In twelve short days I will finally be getting the breast augmentation that I have wanted for over 15 years. I am traveling to Miami to see Dr. Hunker for the consultation April 27th. Surgery is scheduled for the 28th. I have been speaking over the phone and via text with Maria. She has been absolutely fabulous!! She has made me feel so at ease and reassured. She even continued to answer my questions from home while she was sick. What a huge difference from the other place that I was considering.

I chose Dr. Hunker based on reviews, research, Maria and the fact that he said that I can get the augmentation without the lift. I am in a rush at the moment, but I will post my before photos in a bit.

I am thinking about staying at Angy's Recovery House. Anyone know anything about them? Otherwise it's a hotel and maybe a nurse the first night. I am nervous about staying alone, but the hired nurses are expensive.

I am trying to meditate with love and positive feelings about my upcoming surgery. I feel that I could really get into fear about the surgery, strange city, and even the flight if I allow it. I have wanted to do this for so long!

Not sure if it's nerves, but I have been snacking too much and gained 10 pounds! I am just focusing on being balanced and healthy. I started using myfitnesspal.com again to track carbs. I usually take magnesium every night to stay regular, but saw it on a list of supplements to stop before surgery. I am looking for acceptable methods to stay regular until surgery.

I have been so busy, that I really haven't had much time to watch Youtube videos regarding recovery. I plan to get caught up on that this weekend. I want to know what to expect.

I am flying into Miami from Nebraska for the surgery. I have the hotel and caregiver booked. I am so glad for this site. You all have given me so much information about the process!

I consulted 3 surgeons. The surgeon here said that I could skip the lift. The first surgeon in Florida supposedly said that I had to get a lift. I say supposed because I only talked to the consultant and the nurse. I asked to speak to the doctor, but never got a call or email back. I was not happy about the communication and the non-doctors telling me that a lift was a must.

I decided to go with Dr. Hunsaker because the communication with Maria was amazing and the doctor said that I can get away with just the implants with great results. I know that someday I will likely need the lift. I can always go back and do that. I have seen others online with my shape get by without them. I am 50 years old. I do not expect high perky breast like a kid's. I just want volume.

I am thinking 600 cc moderate plus. I was thinking high profile, but my girlfriend has been telling me not to.

I tried the homemade rice sizers instructions that I found online. I made them around 600 ccs. They seem much larger than the ones that the doctor's office here. Everyone says that it's very common to wish that you had gone bigger so I don't really want to do less than 600, but these babies were HUGE! They were actually 3 cups of rice in each which I think is supposed to be equal to 620 ccs.
