So I can not wait to get my new girls. I've struggled with small deflated breasts & large areolas for 5 years too many! Dr. Ortegas photos are amazing and the reviews are awesome as well. I will be traveling 18 hours to get this procedure done. Any advice on projection or placement? I just want this to be as good as an experience as I am hoping for. Thanks!

Are you in PA? I had my surgery done in PA and used Dr Glunk. He also does wonderful work. Make sure your PS is BOARD CERTIFIED, very important!! Other than that, ask lots of questions! There are NO stupid ones!! No detail too small. I had saline mod plus smooth round 700cc bilaterally. I was a perky A cup my entire life and augmentation was only a pipe dream for me. Suddenly I came into a little money and the one and only thing I wanted was boobs!! After 46 years, I GOT BOOBS and couldn't be happier. I had a nipple insertion, Dr Glunk's specialty, and I am so happy with that decision. I'm post op about 17 months and there is NO SIGN of surgery at all!! So I highly recommend that technique. I have full feeling in my breasts and nipple as well. What are your stats? I know you must be sooooooo excited!! I'm excited for you!!! I know this will be the best thing you will ever do for yourself!! I only had to wait a week from my consult to my surgery. That was a huge blessing. I think looking back it was the anticipation that was the hardest part. If u can do it sooner, I would. We tend to drive ourselves crazy and over-think everything pre-op. I'm certian you will end up with a wonderful result by looking at your photos. Any questions or concerns, I'm always here for ya! Everyone is!! I have found RealSelf to be an invaluable network of the nicest people ever!! You'll be glad you're here, we are!! Thanks for taking us along on this most wonderful journey with you!! XXXX
Thank you soo much! I am from PA but I am living 3 hours away in WV for my husbands work. My stats are 5'6 - 110 lbs. 3 kids.. 3kids. 24 years old , can't fill up an A cup! And I am considering either 339cc moderate plus profile or 400 high profile. I want very round closer together perky breasts! I also am getting an areola reduction and that will also lift my poor girls up a little...I am so happy to speak to someone who has had this operation! I don't have any friends who have been through this cause at 24 their boobs are perfect! I've been a mother since I was 18 and have never known what it feels like to have nice breasts. Thanks so much for your input. I will definitely research the doctor you suggested!! Xoxoxoxo
I just looked at Dr. Glunks before and afters.. and they're flawless just like yours are! I am honestly considering switching.. Also cause it is much closer to me. I have a few questions though.. are his prices decent? I not only need implants but also a benelli lift.. Dr. Ortega also has spectacular photos and charges very little. $4,000 for my whole procedure. But like I said.. It will be another $1500 to travel down there and back, maybe more. I am paying with cash so I am looking for an awesome experienced surgeon for the right price! Thanks. :)
Dr Glunk is GREAT!! I would absolutely have at least a consult for sure! His price was right. I also paid cash so he worked with my cost. A lil FYI....he does a lot of dancers therefore he had to become very good at the insertion under the nipple so there are 0 scars. That was huge for me. Also. It's a smaller practice and half the time you call, you get Dr. Glunk. He is so down to earth and gentle. Go see!! And he also had me in surgery a week after my first consult which was awesome!! I already waited 46 years and didn't see the need to wait any longer. He is in King of Prussia and you know he even called me personally after the surgery to make sure I was doing ok. Since you're in PA already I think it's worth the time. Oh!! And thank YOU for the compliment. But you can thank Dr G. He's the master!!
Hi Rosefrompa! I'm doing the same procedures as you on Dec 8th and am really excited! I don't have kids but I "won" the genetic lottery to develop sagging looking small breasts. My lower tissue didn't fully develop which made them droop. I'll be getting 339cc mod silicones through a Periareola incision and a lift along with the reduction of my areolas. Our areolas look pretty similar in size. Both PSs that I talked to suggested that I use Seri Mesh to help hold my areolas to their new size as implants tend to stretch out areolas. Yep - that's right... they could get even bigger with an implant! I was sooo not into that idea so the Seri mesh is going in. You may want to talk to your PS about that option and whether you need it too. Good luck and can't wait to see your results in a few months!
Awesome!! :) I am happy to hear from someone who is having the same procedure done! Good luck with your surgery and I hope the outcome is everything that you want :) ... What state are you going to for surgery? I am traveling very far, unfortunately. I've heard so many good things about Dr. Ortega and my assistant Vivian is super sweet and informative. I can't wait to finally have "nice looking boobs". I think I'm going to also go with the 339ccs moderate plus to try to gain some cleavage for the first time in my life! Lol :). Thanks for sharing and can't wait to see your results!
I'm staying in Washington as I found a PS in Seattle whom I'm excited about. I've seen Dr Ortega mentioned a few times on this site and he's done some great work. Looks like you're going to be in fantastic hands!! Yay for our new boobies and cleavage! :)
Hi, I had a recent consult with Dr. Ortega. I live in Miami and he was one of the top doctors on my list because of the reviews. My personal experience with him wasn't too pleasing. He was extremely late to the consultation appointment, 2.5 hrs, though I waited patiently. I had a list of questions to ask, I was able to get in about 5 of them before he started examining me. During the exam he told me that he would put different sizes in each breast. I told him that my concern with that was the fact that there is a noticeable difference in breast symmety when that is done (note: I also had a prior consult where the surgeon measured me and said that my breast were almost symmetrical). He insisted that he does that with all of his patients because "no one's body is perfect." I was aware of that fact; however, if I am a paying customer I should be able to make a decision about having the same implant size in each breast.... Right after he told me that he would put in different sizes, before I could ask another question there was a knock on the door and he was whisked away, into surgery, I guess... Lol. He just left without excusing himself. Needless to say, I crossed him off my list, although I didn't want to because his prices were the cheapest. I just felt that he would be too busy in the event of an emergency and I didn't like the response about two different implant sizes. This is my long and personal experience, not to deter you but give you a different opinion from the norm. Hope this helps someone.
You're not the first person to complain about the wait times. I don't like the idea that my husband and I will be spending $800 on our flight & then another $1000 for the hotel & then $4000 for my breast augmentation and not even knowing for sure if I'll get a decent consultation! That's very nerve racking having to worry about that stuff. I want to be totally aware of my doctor and each and every step of the procedure. I'm not going to lie; I am still researching doctors. Cause what is a $300 deposit if my breasts are going to be different sizes and I won't even get a good educational consultation. I appreciate your advice and opinions!! I am totally taking every word into consideration. I hope you found the right doctor and got an amazing "job"!. God Bless.
