I had 350 cc silicone through my armpit by doctor Baillo. I like love/hate him. Pros: No scars, extremely natural looking/feeling, and follow up appts are easy/free. Cons: Nobody tells you that the healing process can take from a week to up to a YEAR+. Now its probably not nearly as common that the healing process take so long, but after a year i still feel a lack of upper body strength and i can no longer lay on my stomach w my weight on my elbows without my armpits hurting. I have been back for SEVERAL follow ups (however, sometimes i felt like he wasn't taking my concerns seriously) but his answer to everything seems to be "massage it". At any rate, most ppl cannot tell by the look or feel of my new breast that they have been done (especially bc there is NO scar). I dont kno if this is because he does something special or due to the EXCESSIVE amount of deep tissue massaging i have done on them. It took about a year to finally feel free of random sharp pains but i still do not have my upper body strength back (i have not bothered working out since the surgery because every time i tried, i felt like i was pulling something in my arms/armpits/chest or like the implant was slipping out of its place). I just wish i would've been informed of the fact that not everyone is back to normal in the 5-14 days they say the recovery period is. I could not drive on my own for approx 4 weeks and did not have full motion of my arms for about 7 weeks. I can only assume the healing process when going through the armpit affects more muscles than the traditional method, but I do wish this wouldve been thoroughly explained (although i dont know if i would have went through w the process had it been). All in all hes def not a bad doctor by any means his office is always full of rich housewives trying to stay young and beautiful so he obviously is doing something right to keep them coming back. I just think his bedside manner could be refined a little (just because he is confident in what he does doesnt mean everyone else will be) to include ACTIVELY listening and addressing patients concern as well as honest communication and FULL disclosure of all possible outcomes/recovery times/etc. Hope this helps somebody and good luck!
