Big day is tomorrow!! I have been reading and...

Big day is tomorrow!! I have been reading and researching for about 2 years and the day is finally here!! After several different consultations i decided to book my augmentation with Dr. Mel Ortega of Spectrum Aesthetics. My surgery is scheduled for 9:15am and i am ready to go!! Hoping i we start on time and everything is quick and easy. He suggested 400cc, i explained that i am looking to fill in and NOT be top heavy. I am pear shaped and love being bigger on the bottom. I am tired of dealing with the size difference between top and bottom. Shopping for dresses is always a challange because everything has to be altered. After breast feeding, they went from small and perky to small and deflated. Not a good combo!! I already have stretch marks from how much thry grew when breastfeeding. So, I'll keep you all posted!!!

TODAY IS THE DAY!!!

Didn't realize it takes RS 24 hours to process the post that i wrote lastnight. So, TODAY at 9:15am i will be having my procedure. Very excited, peaceful and centered about it. Did prayer and meditation to get my mind right and i feel ready. Going to start getting dressed and ready to walk out the door in a bit. I will keep you all posted as to the process once I'm done! Have a beautiful day ladies!!

Day after surgery!!

Good morning!!
Sorry i did not update yesterday after my procedure but, i was pretty worn out. The process went pretty easy and went well. I arrived to the clinic at 9am and made my final payment. Immediately afterwards i was called for another urine analysis and taken in to see the Dr and begin prepping. The nurse and previewed paperwork, signed and gave me my gown and compression socks. We talked for a bit, took before photos and waited for Dr ortega for maybe 30 minutes. They begin sugery as early as 5/6 am at the office and are usually very busy. Also, later in the day parking can be a problem and you'll have to locate on street parking on a back street. Luckily, they were not as busy as the day i went for my consultation and we located parking in their building garage.

Well, once Dr Ortega came to meet me we thoroughly discussed and i showed him what I DIDN'T WANT. Its important to me that i obtain as much of a natural look as possible. I don't want the definition of two implants that look like balloons sitting in front of my body. I want a slope that goes down and then the breast is more full at the bottom...kinda of like a pear. (I'll post wish pics). He explained to me that he believed that 400 cc would still be the right fit because i had quite a bit of sagging and that 400cc would fill the breast yet keep it more natural because i did not get a lift. So, i told him that i trusted him and his decision and again showed him what i didn't and did want. He took his time going ober every marking he did in my chest and explained why he was making them. Onxecwe were done he left to prep and he called in Jason the anesthesiologist. Jason was very nice, asked medical history questions and explained possible effects to general anesthesia which i had never had before. We walked to a room nearby, i jumped on the operating table and he explained that the anesthesia may feel like some burning going into the vein. I told him i didn't feel that but suddenly i could taste it!! It was a metallic like taste. After that he asked me to take a few deep breaths and i was out!!
Woke up in the recovery room after what felt like 3 minutes. But, my throat was scratchy and i was trying to cough. I was pretty out of it and all i could feel was pressure on my chest and my legs were in a strange position but i could lift them to get more comfortable. My arms were incredibly sore and i had very little strength. Nurse came in and told me that we would soon be getting up and out. Told her i was still pretty out of it. She told me i had been out for a while and that it was important i get up and start moving. Few minutes later she came back with the bra and sat me up. Immediately i could feel the weight and pressure up front. She helped me on my feet, put my bra on and dressed me. She sat in me in the wheelchair and out we went. It was all very fast!! She escorted me to the lobby where my boyfriend was waiting and went down stairs and left.

The best way to describe how i feel is CAR ACCIDENT. If you have ever been involved in a car accident you feel all bruised, achy and sore...that's how i feel! My arms are really sore and certain spots near my rib cage. The incisions do not hurt but, the pressure from the implant and the tender pectoral muscle are definitely feeling it! They prescribed Percocet, KFlex (antibiotics) and Zofran for nausea. I made sure i had a light ladt meal and i had no nausea as a result of the anesthesia. I napped when i got home, my boyfriend helps sit up if im laying and i still dont have the strength to open the safety lick on the medicine bottle. But truly, its more discomfort then pain. I haven't removed the bra to see them fully. I think we will achieve my goal. They are sitting a bit high right now but not in my face! Lol I have my follow up layer today and ill post.
Have a great day everyone!!!

I had an initial in person consultation with Dr Ortega and it went very well. He was very informative and gave me his recommendation as to size. Also, took his time and was not rushing.
