My Awful Breast Journey (To Whom It May Concern) - Miami, FL

Long story-short, I began 2016 making just enough...

Long story-short, I began 2016 making just enough extra money to perfect my breasts and realizing I was now of legal age to do so, I rushed into a clinic a few acquaintances had refereed me to and was talked into an implant to perk up my boobies. From the beginning, something in my gut was telling me to explore other options before embarking on my plastic surgery adventure. I was pressured into a discount that same day, after word of my sudden eligibility for a "discount" and the promise of a surgery date so close into the year. I felt I could not pass this it up. After all, Fisher's work seemed decent enough online and many reviews exemplified cases of patients with very satisfying results. I was absolutely sold. I've come to realize, had I gone to just one more BOARD CERTIFIED plastic surgeon in the Miami area, I'd probably be in a much different predicament than I'm in now. Communication with the doctor was very weak, I didn't even get a face-to-face consultation with him until after I had already put my down payment in. I heard this was normal and did not think much of it. For someone who only wanted perkier breasts, with a little upper pole fullness, I was surprised the doctor prescribed me a 330cc-400cc implant to get the job done without a scar, as opposed to a donut lift/areola reduction which I initially wanted. After stressing I didn't want anything big and reassured they wouldn't be that big, only big enough to firm up my breasts a bit- in went the implants! I have now been living with the most obnoxiously big breasts for 2 months (not forever, but enough time for me to be clear that I actually do indeed hate them). I never even received an implant card from any of the numerous women that trailed me around the Vanity Clinic the day of my surgery, which still very much upsets me. I tried to schedule an appointment recently to speak to him about what could be done in regards to my disappointing results, but was left to sit in a lobby for 2 hours before simply requesting my medical records and leaving, rather angry, but not even surprised at this point Unlike anything I ever imagined having on my chest (at least until I get pregnant with twins or somethings), these brand new breasts first off made me look clearly proportionate. I've had to gain 10 lbs just to even out a little bit. I cannot lay on my stomach, not because of pain...just because they feel like two over sized tennis balls pressing against my chest. I cannot hug another human being without feeling there's somethings so pointless in between us. They're just plain uncomfortable really, just a cheap fix as opposed to the donut lift which would be more invasive. Aesthetically, I think this whole procedure just emphasized the problem I had been trying to correct. Since then, I have taken to the internet and seen a few of the best BOARD CERTIFIED surgeons. The first being Leonard Rounder who's insight, reassurance, and experience really caught my eye and most recently Darryl J. Blinski's office where I felt super duper comfortable, well informed, and was even given a great technique to fixing this hack job. I will be having a revisionary explant as soon as possible and though this experience has been a tough one, it's definitely inspired a lot of spiritual growth in me.

Oh, typo!

Did I say "proportionate"? I meant clearly UNproportionate.
