Upcoming BBL with Dr. Hassan at Vanity, Miami, FL

ORIGINAL POST

I want to start off by saying, THANK YOU!!! to all...

I want to start off by saying, THANK YOU!!! to all the ladies that have bravely shared their experiences with the rest of us. I'm not planning on telling anyone about my upcoming surgery so having this community makes me feel like I have a friend or sister to talk with about this process, again, thank you ladies!

I have scheduled my surgery at Vanity with Dr. Hasan. My total cost was $6,500 which includes the following: lipo, bbl, garments, massages, transportation, post-surgery nurse, and 7 days/6 nights at their recovery house. I saw that other people got bbls for nearly half the price I've paid, but I didn't want to bother with trying to find a house, nurse, transportation, massage person, etc. I consulted with Dr. Soto in Orlando and his fee was about $3,000 more and it only included the garment, no massages, or recovery stay.

So far, I feel l made the right decision in going with Dr. Hasan. Most everyone on here seems happy with their results. I gotta say, reading the truth about the post-operative recovery and seeing the pictures with the blood and bruises has been really helpful in preparing me mentally for the aftermath, so ladies, keep on posting!!! :)

I will post pre- surgery pictures later this week. I love seeing the before and after pictures from others, so I will make sure to take as many pictures as possible from my journey. I had been searching for "wish pictures" but then I kept reading that Dr. Hasan will basically "throw them in your face and laugh at you," if you bring them with you to show to him! LOL So I will save myself the emotional slap and just post them here for you ladies to see what my expectations are. I have always had a small frame and I don't want to end up with a 'shelf' or crazy hips, which look amazing on women with bigger frames, I am not sure either would look natural on me and I don't want to be questioned in the office about my new shape.

I will be returning to the office seven days after surgery, I am not sure if I am crazy for thinking I can do that, but I'm also in grad school and can't take four weeks off at this time. What do you guys think, too soon? Will I be able to walk and move around somewhat naturally? I have my own office and can pretty much do as I please there, my only worry at this point is sitting in meetings and class. How did you guys deal with those situations? Most of my meetings are an hour long, but my classes are three hours at the time :/ I also have a conference, exactly three weeks after my procedure, and I am freaking out thinking how in the world I am going to sit through an all day conference or what I am going to say if I pull out my pool noodle to sit on!!! Seriously, I would love to hear how you guys dealt with this part of the recovery period.

Ok, this has actually been very therapeutic, I didn't realize how much anxiety was starting to build up inside of me, thanks for listening and for any advice you can give me! :) Good night.

Good luck and welcome to rs doll. A week after surgery is a little soon to go back to work, but if you have your own office and you can stand up and move around at will, you should be okay. There's no way you're going to be able to sit without using some assistance. I am a Hasanified Barbie now. I'm 2 months post op today. You can check my blog out to get some helpful ideas about sitting. I will be following your journey doll.

Hey doll! Welcome to RS. Glad we are helping you out as this is a very good support system. I just had surgery yesterday and am loving my initial results. I will return back to work 2 weeks after surgery but will be working from home the week after surgery. I too have meetings to attend but going to find a way to bring me a pillow for my back or call into the meetings. Lol. This ass is colossal and it can't be hidden cause I went from a flat ass to a fat ass. I know there will be blank big eye stares and questions coming. I'm just going to giggle it off and if they keep coming I'm going to reiterate that this is a place of business and that question is not business related. Girl in school bring you a pillow freak them teachers and students. It would've been cool if you had online classes. I know that's going to be a minor challenge. You will have to stand periodically throughout the day as you are instructed to not sit on the buns for a long time. I'm planning on walking our bridge walk from one building to the next and sitting on my pillow with a pillow on my back. I'm early in my recovery phase and am ok not one day post op. I'll post more on my page so you can get a feeling of what to expect. Thick a Than a Snicker has some great posts that will help you get an idea of what to expect. I follow her and love her updates. Wishing you the best of luck and prayers will go up on your surgery day. XoXo...Smooches doll! : )

MakeMeBootiful, Thanks for your reply! It's helpful, I have been following ThickaThanaSnicker too, she has done an awesome job at documenting her journey. Thank you for your reply on how you handled the office life, I think that's the part that gives me the most anxiety.

Not sure about posting anymore!

So I was about to post my pre-op pictures, but then I thought, "hmmm...I wonder if my pictures will be public when I Goggle myself?" Sure enough there was my last posting, public and for everyone to see!!! I guess I wasn't the smartest cookie in the jar, because I used my common username, fail!!! However, I was working under the assumption that the blogs were only public to Real Self members, not the whole world! I am concerned because my body has a series of very identifiable marks and I am afraid of the future ramifications of that for my personal and professional life. I am not feeling to confident about posting my pictures now, and I know how much I love to see other people's before and after pictures... :/

Girl you can fade out noticeable markings on your body. I didn't for some and quite frankly don't care cause people are going to talk no matter what and if someone is being judgemental about what you do when they not in your shoes, whether in the past or present, then the way they living their life is a total disaster cause if you have to nitpick at someone else's lifestyle cause you are unhappy with yours then you have to wake up and live. My opinion though. But you do what you feel is right hun. If protecting your livelihood for future purposes is to not post photos of yourself, then protect yourself first. You are your best/worst judge. The ultimate judging is by no human being walking this earth's surface.
