Tummy Tuck and BBL Journey Performed by the Booty Guru Mendieta - Miami, FL

I am currently 10 post op and after much thought Ive decided to give Dr. Mendieta a review because he deserves one.
When I started my quest for the procedure I came across Dr. Mendieta's page and thought to myself this is the place that I really want to go with but of course being a mother of 3 beautiful children without the millionaire status I was hesitant on if this dream of mines could come true. (pocket-wise) I live in Miami so there are plenty of unexpensive places such as Strax, Spectrum, Vanity, Vanidades and etc... but I am a firm believer that you need to be as safe as you can be and also make sure that the results will be better than your current body. Trust me ladies you dont want an unexperienced doctor working on you hence you pay for what you get. So I reached out to a few experienced doctors before Dr. Mendieta. Here is the list:

Phone Consultation:
When I called to set up a consultation they advised me of their $100 fee and told me that a patient coordinator would call me back. Later on that day I received a phone call from the sweetest lady on earth named Angel Colagrossi their patient coordinator. I was concerned paying for a consultation without knowing an estimated price of how much it can be and I didnt want to waste my money if the procedure would be over my budgeted price so Angel advised me of course this is why we screen all of the calls to give some general information over the phone before setting up an appointment. I can tell you all that this over the phone interview is comparable to other offices doctor consultations. I was blown away in all the details Angel provided me and then was concerned with all the other doctors that never gave me this important information. Angel gave me an estimated price and also advised me with the Florida law. There is a Florida law that only allows doctors to remove 1 liter of fat through liposuction when performing 2 procedures at the same time such as a tummy tuck and liposuction. Ladies you definitely get what you pay for, this is a top of the line, best in the market office and you can tell right from the first phone call. I immediately made my appointment.

Doctor Consultation:
Once I arrived they I filled out all the required paper work and then was escorted to one of the patient rooms. Their office is like a mini palace the design is classy right from the outside of the building. A nurse came and took pictures of me at different angles and then they were uploaded to a large screen TV for the doctor. Dr. Mendieta came into the room and this man is so charismatic and charming. He then asked me what I was looking to do and reviewed my pictures on the screen. He advised me exactly how he was going to achieve the results. Providing me with detailed information on which areas he was going to take fat from and then inject, which areas needed to be filled in, which areas were alright, how low the incision line was going to be and etc. He then gave me a real life visual by using my pictures on the screen. A before and after, I was so happy being able to see the end results using my own pictures. I thought to myself finally a doctor that understands my body and sees my flaws. Dr. Mendieta is unique he definitely knows the woman body and is a perfectionist! The doctor is very intelligent and polite. Even before meeting the doctor I was sold. I became a bit nervous because I knew that this is exactly the place I wanted even more after meeting the doctor. I really wanted the price to be right. After I got dressed again I was escorted to a private room where Angel came in to give me the quote and more detailed information. Not once did I feel any type of pressure on signing up like all the other offices. Angel advised me that the 100 would be used towards by surgery balance. Since I am married and have a job in which is very strict regarding the days I could be off I first needed to clear everything before giving the deposit.

After a few days clearing everything as at my job there was going to be a training that I already did I was able to book the surgery. Yay! Angel had given me a call because I gave her some tentative days that could work for me. So I booked the surgery 1 day after my graduation ceremony. Double yay!

After giving the deposit which is 20% I was given 2 large extensive packages via email providing you very detailed information regarding the tummy tuck, liposuction, and fat grafting to buttocks. Ladies when I say detailed I mean detailed. It advises you of all the dangers for each procedure, the alternatives, exactly how to prepare, what to buy, what to expect, everything!!!!!!

Post operative clearance appointment:
Before this appointment I needed to have medical clearance. I chose to go to my primary care physician as I have insurance and it is covered. I got lab work, a chest x-ray and medical clearance from my cardiologist since I have mitral valve prolapse. Just to play it as safe as possible my cardiologist did a stress test. Wow that was overwhelming but I passed. I made sure to get copies of all the tests that were done as well as made sure they were all faxed to Mendieta.

The day arriving at the mini palace for my post operative appointment I was greeted by Colleen then escorted to a beautiful private room to sign all the documentation that was once emailed to me. Shortly after Andrea Labreau their surgical coordinator came into to the room to go over everything with me also provided me with information on what to bring the day of surgery, post operative instructions and answer any and all questions that I had. At the same time I had the pleasure of meeting Ellen CRNA nurse anesthetist this is where she gave me her background information. She is so sweet and nice, I definitely felt at ease and comfortable that she was going to be my nurse anesthetist.
