Starting my BBL Journey and Looking for Insight and Advice from Others - SURGERY DATE Nov 19 in Miami Dr. Salzhauer - Miami, FL

Visited with Dr Salzhauer and put down my deposit and secured my surgery date. I live in the NE so my husband will be with me for the first few days and my sister will be with me the remaining days. I plan on only staying 7 days. Need advice on where to stay..Id like to stay near the beach..any other advice

I wanted to provide a final update to everyone on my procedure as well as my experience with Dr. Salzhauer and the staff at Bal Harbour Plastic Surgery Associates. My procedure was Wednesday, November 19th at 9am. I was informed the night before that the the office would call me to inform me as to what time to come in. I was called around 7:30 am to be in the office at 9am. I arrived a bit nervous but the staff quickly helped me feel at ease and less nervous. One of the reasons I chose Dr. Salzhauer was because of his staff. They will ultimately be there taking care of you after surgery. It is important you feel comfortable with whomever you choose, and not just impressed by the before/after pics. His office is beautiful, clean and modern. He has a very organized and professional and his staff seems very happy to be there. I believe that is a reflection on the Dr. and the way he treats everyone and the working environment. I immediately felt comfortable. The anesthesiologist came in to introduce herself (cant remember her name, but she was an older asia lady) and she was super sweet and affectionate. Once it was time to go into the surgery room, I admit my nerves were on a 10, immediately my nurse, Chelsea started to rub my head to relax me and I drifted into lala land. I awoke in the recovery room where my husband and Chelsea were there to take care of me. I am not going to lie, the pain was intense, I dont think that i was mentally prepared for it. I was however, happy it was over. I wont get into all details of recovery, but it is tough and I am happy to answer any questions related to that. The Dr. provides you with painkillers and by the end of the first week ibuprofen was sufficient for me. I was only able to stay a week and in hindsight I wish I would have listened to the doctor and stayed the recommended to weeks. I cannot stress enough the importance of rest and recovery. I have a very demanding job which requires me to travel and I really should have took more time off. This is where Dr. Salzhauer and his staff showed what exceptional medical professionals they are. I was able t pretty much text the Dr. directly with any questions or concerns, even sending videos and pictures of my progress (since I live in NJ) and always received a response within 15 minutes to an hour. Again, many people I know have struggled after their surgery with other doctors and were not able to get in contact with the doctor or would wait days for a response which to me is unacceptable. I dont know how my doctor does it (with his crazy schedule) but his passion for what he does and his professionalism shows in the aftercare he and his nurses provided me with even months after my procedure. Most importanly, he has done a beautiful job on my body. I am a corporate professional and was not looking for an exaggerated booty. It is absolutely perfect and after the wear and tear children put on my body, I feel that I am in a place with diet and exercise that my body will be even better than before I had my children. He is an artist and a consummate professional. I am so grateful I went with him. I also want to thank the two nurses in particular that showed so much support in my pre and post surgery care.
