Spectrum Aesthetics' Lack of professionalism

(Nothing updated except the title because for some reason it cut me off and posted while I was writing it) Hello people of realself! So this is my first time writing a review on here so bare with me. So I went to Spectrum Aesthetics in Miami, Fl, to have my first consultation about a BBL with Dr. Mel Ortega (really handsome man btw lol). Unfortunately, my experience meeting with him wasn't what I had thought it would be. First of all, my appointment was at 1:00pm. I wasn't able to see him until 4 due to the fact that he was in surgery, which I thought was understandable and didn't mind waiting 3 hours because I wouldn't want my surgeon rushing to get my surgery done just to have a consultation. But I do not blame the doctor himself, I do feel though, that his staff could have done a much better job job at organizing his schedule and at least could have let me know he wouldn't be able to see me for a few more hours before I rushed to Miami thinking I couldn't be a minute late! (I'm from Naples, fl btw). Secondly, that wasn't my only disappointment. While I was waiting in the room after the nurse had asked me questions about my health and recorded my weight, my boyfriend and I overheard a guy on the phone with I'm guessing medics describing a woman going into cardiac arrest during surgery!! I think I overheard later that it was due to high blood pressure. I don't know who it is that preformed the surgery due to the fact that there are 3 surgeons in the building. My boyfriend and I became a little skeptical at this time, especially since he had opened the door and asked one of the nurses what was going on. Rudely, the nurse quickly said, "nothing!" And shut the door in his face! I thought that was everything, but professional... Shortly after, the ambulance arrived and I guess took the lady away. I just expected the staff to at least address it to the people instead of completely avoiding the topic... ( a bit of a red flag if you ask me) After I finally met with Dr. Ortega, he did apologize for the wait and went on about asking me what it is that I wanted and how much of the procedure I knew about. He then went on to view my body and explained in detail what he would do and what parts of my body he would be focusing on. He pretty much answered all my questions, and I loved how realistic he was being with me when it came to people having certain expectations with BBL's and what he expects with me. He gave me an estimate of 2 liters per side (1000 cc's per side), which I am really looking forward to get due to the fact that I strived for nothing less than 800 cc's per side. My consultation was cut pretty short since Dr. Ortega said he had to go and didn't seem to be rude, which I didn't find rude at all because he is a busy man and all. I just wished I had a little more time to express my concerns. Over all though, he seems like he knows exactly what he's talking about and seems to know what it is he can deliver for me. I am excited to continue my journey with Dr. Ortega, but do feel like his staff needs some work when it comes to handling sketchy situations and just being more organized overall. I might want to see Dr. Ortega again before surgery just to talk about certain concerns I didn't have time to talk about before. We will see how the rest of the journey goes!
