5 days until sx!!

I'm so overwhelmed. I've been calling/email Ortega's office since last week and it is impossible to get ahold of anyone. I've been making payments towards my balance since I have a limit on my debit card and I don't need any issues coming up the day of surgery. I want everything done beforehand. Tomorrow I'm flying out of state for a last minute work meeting and won't be back until Saturday. Surgery is on Monday! Kinda freaking out...

But I was able to just book a massage for Sunday! I'm so thankful she was able to take me, doing one the day before is supposed to make all the difference in your swelling and recovery. I'm doing the elctro-lymphatic massages the day before surgery and once I can sit/drive. For the 3 weeks I can't sit I don't want to ask for rides for my massages so I am booking a company I found that does the massages in your house. Convenience is everything at that point.

I'm starting to relax now as each thing gets figured out. I will be in Miami on Saturday so I'll be buying a faja (or two), since Lizbeth hasn't responded to ANY of my emails about the garments I'm going to buy what I want. (I've already had this surgery, I know what to look for).

I thought I'd be more relaxed this time around since I've done this before but my nerves are a wreck! I know it'll turn out fine. I don't expect perfection, just improvement. Perfection would be nice, though :)

Massages?

Last time I had my BBL I had a hard time getting massages because I couldn't find a place near me and it was hard to find rides to Miami.

I eventually found a place in Boca that does electro-lymphatic massages. You need 1of these instead of 8 manual massages! It works so much better and they basically wave a light bulb over you instead of traumatizing your skin with a lot of pressure. It worked so much better.

Now, her office is closed and I'm looking for a new place. Does anyone know of a massage therapist in the Boynton/Delray/Boca area that will come to your home for these massages?? I don't mind paying more for the convenience of not having to find rides. I found one but she was on the other side of the state.

I had a BBL done in 2013 with a different Dr and...

I had a BBL done in 2013 with a different Dr and it was an awful experience. He used local anesthesia which didn't work on me so he only did partial surgery. He wanted to do two surgeries, one to lipo my midsection w/ the fat transfer, the second to lipo my arms and legs. Since the first surgery was so bad I didn't go back for the second. Two and a half years later I am still completely lumpy from his bad lipo and fat transfer. I also feel very disproportionate since my waist is so much smaller than my arms and legs now.

Again, I really want to go to Dr Duran but she's impossible to get a hold of and I still have the same concerns about traveling. The only Dr I like in Florida is Ortega. I emailed in January to make a consultation appt. They got back to me and said the BBL is $4,000 (they had a special) and made my appt for the next month. I drove an hour and a half to Miami, waited an hour to see the Dr before I asked someone how long this would take. Dr Ortega was already in surgery with someone else and they told me I'd have to wait. I understand he can't leave someone in the surgery room under anesthesia but I was really annoyed that I'd have to wait two hours past my appt time to see him for 5 minutes. This was taking my entire day. Right after I talked to the nurse she went and talked to the Dr and they came right in to see me (I was impressed!).

My biggest concern was to get my arms and legs lipo'd and since I'd already be there I may as well redo my butt. I also wanted to ask him to do my sides (they were left uneven and lumpy) but I thought that might be asking too much since I know they're limited. He looked me over and said he would do everything I wanted, plus redo my stomach!!! Way more than I was hoping for, which is great.

Since the special was now over, the price went up to $4,500. I went to go schedule surgery with the coordinator and told her I wanted to do the surgery soon because I'm moving. She said the first she had available was in June, which wouldn't work for me so my heart sunk. Then she told me to hold and on and she found a sooner date for me!! Everything worked out perfectly.

Now today, four weeks away from surgery, I got two emails from them that I have to do my labwork and an EKG and have the results submitted three weeks before surgery. That means I have to get them scheduled for this week! That kind of annoyed me that she emailed me at 5:30 when all other offices are closed and I have 4 days now to get two appts scheduled and completed.

I'm also not sure why I need an EKG..? I didn't need one last time. But maybe that's because this Dr is a scumbag lol

I'm starting to get really nervous because my last experience was so bad, but so far so good with Dr Ortega!

Dr Ortega is really nice. Concerned with safety first and giving you the best results. He offered more than I even asked for.
