Good morning, hopefully I can get some answers on this... Can anyone recommend the best stage 2 compression garment? Also a compression garment they might have worn while they took their main garment off to wash it? I am very confused to which one to get. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Yeah, the whole faja buying process seems confusing and I don't want to buy one through the Dr because they over charge.

I haven't bought any yet because I am unsure of size. But I have heard that they depend on a lot of factors ( brands for thicker women, shape Apple or heart)and you want a big booty Judy so I would wait. I plan on buying my faja after sx and having it taken in by seamstress (saving $) and ordering the next stage on line. I hope that helps

Yeah I was thinking about that (waiting to see after sx) because idk what my size will be but I don't know which style to buy. There are so many different stage 2 garments. But I guess ill ask my doc whats the best one that he suggest. Or maybe ask the massage therapist???

Exactly! I'm glad the first one is included and they put it on you right away. But I wanted to try to find one on amazon or ebay for alot less.

Hi ladies I would suggest waiting until your surgery before you buy your garment. Most PS give you your first one after that you should stick with the same brand that way you know what size to go down to. If you switch brands they may fit differently. As far as "stage 1" stage 2 etc forget all of that because most of them are not even labeled as such. I started in a "Medium" (garment was from lipoexpress #1613) then after about 3 weeks needed a smaller size (take a look at my blog to help you determine when to change garments). Next I went to small and actually started on the second row of hooks. Now Im on garment #3 but I am ordering an XXS so that I can start on the 1st row of hooks and move to the second because based on my experience each size will only last 2-3 weeks before you need to go down again. No I did not buy 2 of each size I washed my garment every 2 days ! yes it may seem like overkill but it keeps it clean and it shrinks it a little for you. As far as what to wear when your washing your garment. I didnt wear anything... you really shouldnt swell much if you are only out of it for an hour or hour and a half anyway and actually you should be out of your garment for at least an hour each day. Let me know if you have any other questions !

I was very confused as well. so the stage 1 garment my doctor gave me only lasted a few days and then I was placed into a stage 2 garment which is my favorite. It is from lipoexpress....its #1624. It gives me all of the support I need and no matter how many garments I try this is my absolute favorite. My only issue is that I have to take the entire thing off to use the bathroom. I purchased the vedette 136 mainly because its snaps between the legs so it's easy to go to the bathroom. My issue with this garment is it is too big and it also bulges on the back at top. I hate it but it brings my waist in. My cousin had a bbl and bought the vedette 136 and she loves it. She doesn't have the bulging issue. I also bought a Squeem Vest which I wear over my stage 2 compression garment. So I wear my stage 2 garment with my foams and then put the squeem on top. eventually I will start waist training with a cincher. I may order a new vedette 136 in a smaller size. If it fits and there is no bulging then I will wear that with the squeem vest on top. I wash my garment while I am showering and using my heating pad on the lipo areas. By the time I am done with my shower and heating pad my garment is dry.

I FINALLY bought a second stage garment, ugh so exhausting... I took AtlantaPYT advice and went to purchase the same garment as the one I had from surgery but when I went to their site and tried to purchase, It wouldn't go through!? I tried like five times so I had to get another brand and I'm hoping that it fits and is comfortable. I think its a vedette I'm not sure which number but I've seen a couple women in here with it. I know I'm going to have to get another one in a few weeks so I'll look up some of the ones you mentioned, thank you girl

One more thing, I did have pics up but took them down because I was reading some of the other girls posts and some have had their pics stolen and miss used. Im a little paranoid and didn't want my pics floating around but since I don't have any visible/recognizable tattoos or anything I might repost some. And also put my wish pics back up. (If my wish pics are of any one on here and you don't want it up please let me know and ill take it down I don't want to disrespect anyone)

Hey girl! When is your surgery scheduled for? Can I ask your age and weight currently? I feel like we are close in size maybe I am 130 and 5'4. I was 125 forever but have been trying to gain for surgery and keep it so they have more to work with lol. How much are you gaining total!

I had my surgery feb 9th. I'm 26, I didn't get to weigh myself the day of surgery but the last time I had checked I was almost 140lbs. So like 138-139. I too had a hard time gaining and I had to drink a high calorie protein shake mixed with heavy whipping cream EVERY NIGHT. I had went from about 122 to 138 in a month and a half. I did stop drinking the shake a week before surgery because I had read that you have to stop high protein/protein shakes before surgery. So I probably could have gained a pound or two but whatever... I suggest you start seriously gaining weight at least 2-3 months pre op because you want to see if you can hold on to the weight. I have a fast pace job so all that walking and not being able to eat at times I still kept the weight. Yes, you will feel fat and disgusting but I kept thinking about the bigger picture and getting my money's worth:) also if you workout, I would suggest stopping a few months before as well so the fat can take the place of the muscle and you won't think that you have more fat than there really is.

Thank you so much for writing all that out for me! My confusion comes from what happens after the surgery like if you gained 16 pounds like you did.. Do you keep that weight after surgery to keep the booty big? Thanks for answering all my questions :)

That's one reason why I stopped updating my own blog because of the pic thing. I took down my before pictures because there was a couple women that said ppl were posting pictures on fb and ig and stuff so I wasn't comfortable putting pics up but maybe I'll put a couple afters... I was worried to about the pain and being alone but it actually wasn't that bad after day 3 your "pain" (it was more of a soreness to me) goes down as long as you keep moving, eat, drink lots of fluids and stay on your meds. As long as you stay at a good recovery house you will be fine.

I stay in Florida but not from Miami. I went with assistance4life recovery. One of the coordinators from spectrum (dr ortega office) runs it. There is also magdalena that women rave about, moni from new body recovery, but you can also check with your surgeons office if they partner up with anyone or have s recovery house of their own. There are reviews on here about the ones I mentioned above to help you decide. The one I stayed at was over all a pleasant stay. 3 meals a day 1 care giver for two ppl. Maria speaks English but the other lady doesn't, sorry I forgot her name. Maria was there for the majority of my stay. They also have another house but I didn't stay there. Getfitwitash I believe that's her screen name, she stayed at the other location and she said she was treated good.

Oh the weight depends what your looking for. I gained 16lbs and my doctor said I didn't have alot of fat still! He said he would have to take a little from my upper thighs just to get the minimum cc's that he likes. I was against it at first but then we discussed it and I went with his decision. If you want a big butt I would suggest gaining more than that. You have to remember you usually gain weight all over and all weight gained is not fat, some could be water, some muscle etc. The fat isn't going to go just to the stomach and back. And me at 145 right after surgery I couldn't even tell I was that heavy even now I want to keep my weight at 135 because it doesn't look like I weigh that much

Thank you for the Reply again! I will def try to be over a good bit I already have and can't stand my body but if it makes me have a booty some day here without flanks and a huge belly it will all be worth if. Did you ask for a BIG old Booty then? That's what I want. None of this modest cute blah. I want the biggest booty possible. I already know I'll probably have to do 2 BBLs to Get that achieved look someday lol

I never even got to tell him what I wanted or even show wish pics. I forgot all about all that because I was just ready for surgery lol. But when he was marking me up and mentioned how I have dips on the sides of my butt, I knew he knew what he needed to do. I wanted to be 41" from the 39" I was and right now I'm at 41 1/2" and I haven't fluffed yet!! So hopefully it works out. I like my butt because it fits my legs and I was worried about that, yes I fell in LOVE with the swelling as we all do but when I try on clothes I see that it's best that the swelling went down because I'm petite. Also I used to work out so when I go back, my butt will lift even more :) but yeah if your skin is tight or your going to try to go from like 36" to 44" you'll probably have to go 2 rounds... whatever you do, DON'T FALL IN LOVE WITH THE SWELLING LOL!

Out of all my pics I would say my butt is like the one with the girl that had the yoga matt, or my main picture that I have. And my waist is going to be tiny. That is another thing, the tinier my waist gets the more my butt will stick out and my waist is 26 1/2" right now. Just make sure you don't forget (like I did) to show your doctor the pictures you want.

Oh lol yeah I was like I don't understand that part, but I flew home it was only 30 min flight since I live in Florida but it was uncomfortable. I didn't have aboppy pillow, I had one of those neck roll pillows and used my sweater . Put them both under my upper thigh part and used my elbows with the arm rest to keep me off my butt. I read one girl on here stayed in the bathroom for a couple hours because the seat belt wouldn't go off lol. Whatever you gotta do to protect that new booty

Also when I gained weight for surgery, I gained a couple inches on my hips/butt (was 37", went into surgery at 39") so you might be able to get to 42 inches without a round two. It all depends where you gain weight

Lol !!! Just Cracked up ! Ok I do have a boppy from my babies so that's good lol .. My flight would be about 2.5 hrs straight so I'm almost thinking that having a lay over is better to get off the plane for awhile ... I could fly but I honestly feel like driving and laying in back seat plus bbl pillow will be easier! Yes protect the booty is most important! It is hard for me to read back up when typing to you! Did you stay in miami for a bit before heading home I can't remember! I dunno where to say just want to be near a whole foods lol
