Update

Hey ladies! Ive been so MIA but I was so depressed after having to cancel twice and reschedule for April. I just wanted to give you a little update. I have been taking my prescibed iron pills since I saw my hematologist in December. I took my labs on the 13th of this month and everything checked out except my hemo, it was at 11.3. I already had an appointment set up with a hematologist for the day after just incase it was low again. After the doctor saw me we set up to get iron infusion. Appointment was then set up for Wednesday and they told me it would take roughly 4 or 5 hours and would take a couple weeks to go up instead of months taking it in pill form. I did some research and my hemo would start going up in about 7 to 9 days and I would start feeling a lot better. This is a way better alternative since taking it orally hasn't worked for me like I need it to. Its been 4 days already and I feel better. The hemo checker marked my hemo at 12.8 today, two days ago it marked 11.7. I will be getting my hemo checked on Thursday and I hope its enough time where my hemo will be at a good enough level to be cleared. I rebooked my flight and my airbnb and working on getting a nurse. Praying the third times a charm!

Pre labs

So last week my lab results were so so. My hemo popped up an 11.4 but that wasn't enough. Today I had my EKG done and retested my hemo. When I woke up my hemo was at 12.8 per my meter so hopefully it works out better than last week. After my blood work at quest I retested on my meter and my hemo said I was at a 12.4, better than last week! Lets see what Jolie says once quest send them my results. My cardiologist decided to take an ultra sound of my heart just in case. I hope everything is good. My pcp says that I'm ok and the last cardiologist said I was fine too. I'm healthy apart of my iron, which I'm working on. After taking the iron pills my hematologist suggested I feel great! I have more energy and see everything more vibrantly. She said what I was taking was not enough. Floradix had 68 mg of iron give or take and she prescribed me has 325 mg twice a day. Its just what I need and cheaper route than what I was taking. It may work for others but definitely not for me. Now my routine is in the morning I drink some orange juice and take it with my iron and vitamin-c and b12/folic acid combo. I don't eat an hour or two after taking this. At night I drink orange juice with iron pill and vitamin C I don't take B12 because I don't need energy at night. That would keep me up, I learned my lesson! Lol. Hope this helps the girls having issues getting their iron up. I see the light!

28 days before sx

I went to see a hematologist today and also did my blood work. My hematologist told me that 10 ml of floradix isn't enough and that its only that amount for regular people. I told her I was taking it 3 to 2 times a day, which she said was cool. She prescribed me something I can take in pill form and can take 2x a day. She also had my blood taken so she can look at my blood under the microscope. I wanted to look into a blood infusion but she wasn't about it at all. She said that some people get a bad reaction so she said we can revisit that in March...Whomp whoop whomp. Whatever, I tested my blood before going into the hemotologist on my meter and it said my hemo was 11.3. I was still waiting for Hemaplex to kick in since I had just taken it. I waited 2 hours and did my bloodwork. Right after I did my labs to send to jolie I tested my hemo again on my meter and it popped up at 12.3. Lets see how accurate it is! Fingers crossed!
