Hey dolls, Been stalking RS for some time....

Hey dolls,

Been stalking RS for some time. Finally decided to get my BBL & I already put my deposit down with Spectrum. Originally, I wanted Dr. Omulepu, but now I can't decide between him and Dr. Ortega. The thing is, Omulepu isn't board certified, but Ortega doesn't seem to have many current BBL reviews up with pics. What do you ladies think? I wanted to stick with Omulepu but I read a few things about him that I'm not too comfortable with. And Ortega seems great with TTs and BAs, but that's not what I'm going for. Help!

I'm thinking about going for Ortega as well.. I wish he had more bbl reviews but I like the fact that he doesn't use drains after surgery and I can't stand the thought of drains.. My first choice is Dr Salzhauer but he's book up until sept 2016 so Ortega is currently my choice.

Would love Salz too but that's too long of a wait. I guess i don't mind the drains. I thought they were necessary?

My sx is scheduled for July 2nd with Ortega, there aren't many reviews on his BBLs but the ones I did see we're all positive. I've also read some not so great things about Omulepu and the fact that he isn't board certified is a red flag. Do more research before you decide.....and did you set a date?

My sx is scheduled with Ortega for the July 2nd too! We'll be become O dolls the same day :). Are you staying at a RH or a hotel?

I'm not staying at their RH because I've read many bad reviews. So now I'm in the process of finding a hotel. I was trying to get info on the hotels they are paired with since I heard they gv deals when I book through spectrum. But of course my coordinator Jessica has become non-responsive since I put my down payment. Hbu? RH? Or Hotel?

I haven't set a date but it wouldn't be until around next year. According to a supervisor at Spectrum Omulepu is "in the process" of becoming board certified :-/

I need to find out if I'm going to be able to bring someone. I only have one friend that may be able to go, depending on what she says, that'll determine whether I go to the RH or not. Would rather the hotel route but not too sure if I can make that happen just yet. My coordinator is Lizbeth, I've been able to get in touch with her pretty regularly, so hoping that doesn't start to slack off any because I'm sure I'll have more questions for her.

Why did you refuse? The drains prevent you from developing a seroma
June 2, 2015
If I have to I won't fight it but I don't want to go home with them the way I'm scheduling my bbl it's on my spring break an will be returning back to school the week after hopefully everything goes perfect I'll just stand in class lol

Hi Quervacious, Dr. Ortega doesn't like drains. The lymphatics are very important after surgery It will help speed up the revovery and avoid Seromas.

Yeah I don't see any drains in his pictures the the other Dr. O uses them so I was hoping I didn't need them when I get mines done

How many days to stay after BBL?

calixalegria
Hey dolls,
I posted this in the forum but haven't gotten any repsonses yet. My sister and I are getting sx in March in Miami (coming from Cali). We are wondering how many days post sx we should stay in Miami? How soon after sx do ppl typically go back for the follow up? And how often? We don't want to come back too soon, but we also are not trying to stay longer than necessary either. I know we won't be able to sit right away so factoring in the plane ride home and any post sx appointments, how long should we book the hotel for? 10 days? 2 weeks? All opinions appreciated :)

Hey doll, check out my story. I went to Dr.Ortega, and I'm more than happy to share my experience. I stayed for 5 days. They will schedule your follow up according to how long you are in Miami for. I also sat my entire plane ride back home (2.5 hours) just be sure to save some pain meds for the ride home. Especially since your flight will be longer than mine was. But prepare to be uncomfortable. I recommend a boppy pillow. Helped a lot through my healing. They don't prescribe a lot of pain pills..and they also give a low dose. (Percocet 5mg, I believe it was like 7-10 pills) if possible I would recommend bringing your own pain meds in addition for back up.

Butt-out or butt-in?

calixalegria
Also, we are gathering our items needed for the trip now. Should we get compression garments with the butt intact? Or cut out? Does it make a difference in the healing or end result?

The cut out ones are not best for healing in the beginning. I personally wouldn't recommend them at all.
