I can't believe my surgery date is almost here. I've waited for such a long time for this and it's finally going to happen. I think that I'm just about as prepared as possible. I am ready to get it over with. Just a little nervous about the recovery process. I am praying for an uneventful speedy recovery.

No problems gaining weight.......I have already gained 18 lbs. in preparation for this surgery. I am so ready to get this over with. The doctor recommended that I gain approximately 5 more pounds prior to surgery. I am going to hold off until closer to my surgery date and just maintain the weight I've already gained for now. I have started taking Vit C and iron supplements. I am 9 weeks out from my surgery date as of today. Is there any other supplements I should be taking at this time? I've added a side view pic.

Perez3, I think you will have great results since it seems from your pics you already kind of have that hourglass figure...your surgery is just 7 days after mine. I have mine on 5/22......hope everything turns out like you want to good luck

Thank you for your kind words!! Good luck with everything! I will be thinking of you on the 22nd. I wish you a speedy recovery. Are you hiring someone to care for you during the days following surgery? I'm debating on this.....my husband and children will be present.....my husband is planning on caring for me but I believe this may be too much with our kids needing entertained and cared for too.

Hey, no I am not hiring anyone since a friend of mine will be taking care of me. I know it is kind of expensive so if you do have that extra money I would go or it..

Thanks for all the great info! I have a consultation with Dr. Mendieta on June 6th. I am planning on having my surgery in Feb 2014. I am surprised I don't see more reviews for Dr. Mendieta as he comes highly recommended by many reputable plastic surgeons around the United States. Good luck with your surgery and recovery :)

Oh I am so excited for you. Dr. M is my first choice. I have just sent them my pics. I am also out of state. I will take any advice about out of state or anything to do with Dr. M. We should start a little place for us Dr. M patients since there doesn't seem to be that many on real self.

Any recommendations for healthy weight gain?? I've been making protein shakes late at night right before bed in hopes of that packing on the pounds.....ugh! I do not like how that sounds. I would love to hear what has worked for any of you that have had to gain weight for this procedure. Thanks ladies!!!!

Hi Glamour, thank you !!!! I have researched this a bit.......it seems that Dr.Aslani is more or less the only surgeon in Europe who is offering "real" bbl surgery with 1000cc or more ?
His results look great, but it is till not "around the corner" for me....however, two hours flight should be bearable
