I started researching this procedure in 2012. Met with Dr. Mendieta and was impressed. I continued my research and ultimately came back to him. In 2012, Dr. Mendieta told me that I needed t go to "booty camp" to gain some weight. Now, in 2014, I have a few extra pounds (where did that back roll come from? lol) and I am well on my way. I am trying to add few more pounds just to be certain there is enough to transfer and while this should be enjoyable, I don't like the way the extra weight feels and my clothes that are normally very fitted are tight. I'm scheduled for December 2, 2014 and have using my RS sisters for information and inspiration....

Went to my physician today to get a physical and complete my bloodwork. My pressure was elevated ( which has never happened to me before ). I'm not sure if I was nervous or this is the result of my change in eating, I have gained 18 pounds for my BBL... ( fries , pasta, bread- you name it). I'm going back on Wednesday to check my pressure again and hopefully it will be down.
On another note, I finally told my husband and while he says "your beautiful the way you are ", I have his support and blessing ...
My best friend is flying in from Houston to go to and through the surgery with me. We are staying at a hotel in Coral Gables.
I've got my supplies ( Thanks to my RS sisters ) and the count down is real

Hi Ladies. I hesitate to write sometimes because if I don't have something "new" to share ( something different than my other RS sisters have already shared), I don't want to waste your time. That being said, I arrived in Miami this afternoon and had my Pre-Op visit with my surgical coordinator Andrea. I purchased 2 compression garments from the office. One to wear and one to switch IMMEDIATELY into if and when the first one gets soiled. I've read over and over taking the garment off too soon for too long causes swelling which = problems. The garments were overpriced at $170 ( which meant $340) but I'd rather be safe than sorry. I measured myself and bought 2 garments on line but MY measurements were 38-35-44. Andrea measured me 38-32-43 1/2. Not sure if she measured smaller for sizing on the garment but when I figure this faja thing out, I will let you know. After I finished reading and initialing all of the medical forms/information from the office, Andrea gave me my prescriptions for valium, nausea and percocet. I immediately walked to get the prescriptions filled at the Coconut Grove Pharmacy. The pharmacist took my prescription, looked up at me and said, "He does amazing work...congratulations!". That was comforting. I realized that I didn't receive my female urinal from amazon before I left and I was able to pick on up at the pharmacy as well. I have the Uber App on my phone and I requested a car to pick me up from the pharmacy. The car was there in 3 minutes (ladies down load the app! It's great). I headed to dinner and had a great meal, MY LAST SUPPER, lol at a nice Thai Restaurant : Sushi, Curry Duck and Thai Ice Tea. I followed it up with Cold Stone Creamery as my last hoorah with all this overeating! I've gained 17 pounds for this procedure and I can't wait to get back to my healthy eating. I broke down and took pictures of my 48 year "young" booty (ugh) and I'm ready to say "Bye Felicia!!!" Ha! I just took a shower with my hiberclense, took my multivitamin, Vitamin C, Bromelain and Arnica and I'm gonna say my prayers and try and relax... 620 am pick up tomorrow. I will upload some photos from my phone in a second...

Our measurements are close. What size faja did you wear? I want to order a couple from EBay.

Hi there! I ordered a couple from Amazon in an XL. I'm returning them after having bought compression garments from my surgeon. I am wearing Marena! They are smooth. No zippers, no hooks and no indentations. As a result, I never had to use the foam sheet and ab board. Well , I actually wore it once and it caused lines and on my second post op visit, my nurse told me it was unnecessary. So to answer your question, I started with an XL and I'm now down to a Large. Check our Marena.com. They are great!

Which one did you get? I'm really looking for something that does not cover my butt and no legs (don't want the leg marks in my pants). I'm going to try the thong hoping it doesn't feel as uncomfortable as it looks. I read the reviews to see if anyone mentioned that but didn't see any.

I have a couple. I have the full body suit with bra, the high waisted girdle and the 2nd Stage with the suspended type top with no bra. I understand the "pants line" so I've been wearing a lot of skirts and dresses with black or blue tights. The doctor and both masseuses I use told me that the butt out garments are not good because you need the constant compression. I guess it depends on the result you want. My masseuse showed me pictures where the butt out garments gave a " shelf type" result because of the cut outs. I want a more natural result so that's what I opted for

Don't want the shelf look. I was thinking more of something that just compresses from the waist up, leaving the booty free. Do they say we need to keep constant pressure on the booty? I understand constant pressure on the lipo areas. Skirts and dresses...good idea! I've always been more of a pants person but that will have to change to get rid of the garment line in my clothes. Guest I'll see what I can find at Ross..lol!!!

Yes! Compress all areas that have been lipoed and compression where the fat has been placed... The bootay! Lol
