I am uber nervous, but, I'm scheduled for surgery 3/10/18 for my BBL with Dr. Mendieta. I have done so much research that I think I'll chicken out if I don't stop. I feel so guilty because I want this so badly, and everyone swears I don't need it, but, if I'm not happy with the way I look, that's really what matters. I want to live the rest of my natural years with confidence! How have most of you gotten over the "guilt"? And what are your experiences with Dr. Mendieta?

I'm trying to get to that point before I go in, but I know with surgery, healing, and the changes in ones body, I will be on a roller coaster of emotions. Thanks for letting me know there's light at the end of the tunnel in spite of the guilt. If mamma's not happy, no one's happy. LOL!

I was scared of that too! my husband was so against but thank God he ended up supporting me. it was scary for him. he was all on YouTube researching. it was more of being uncomfortable in the car too. just think of how fab your going look! put your prayers in & trust God.

Yes, They put these suction cups on your butt with a high velocity suction. I have a picture of it. It's pretty intense, but the selling doesn't last. They say exercise and consistently wearing a butt lifter would help maintain results, but it's too hot for all of that. I also wanted curves so Dr. Mendieta it is!

does your doctor do the procedure under local or general anesthesia? I had my bbl done Feb 17 in Orlando and I don’t want to scare you But you need to mentally prepare yourself for the procedure and for the recovery. The most uncomfortable thing for me is not being able to sit or sleep on my back because I’m a back sleeper it’s very very challenging.

Thanks doll. I'm going under general so that they can take as much fat as they can. I have read it will be challenging. I have a pretty high threshold for pain, hysterectomy where they cut me from hip to hip and removed an organ out of my body. The worst pain I've ever experienced, and recovery. I've had my child induced labor. The mental part is what I may have to get use to. But overall, I'm not afraid . I have a strong belief in God, and know He wouldn't put more on me than I can bare, and I will be taking my Percocet as needed. Everyone's experience is different. I know some that are walking upright the day after surgery, etc. But thank you for the heads up! Did Dr. Mendieta do your surgery?

no I got mine done in Orlando by Dr. Miles and it was under local anesthesia I felt most of it. I too have a high tolerance for pain, I underwent a hysterectomy in 2016 and I that recovery was a breeze to me. With the liposuction it was just being able to feel your doctor poking me with the cannula, it took a lot of numbing my body doesn’t adhere to medication like that. please keep us updated.

Hello ladies,
I hope that all is well. I'm cleared for surgery, labs, etc. And I will be in Miami 3/9/18 for preop, an d surgery 3/10/18. I can say, that the guilt has slightly disappeared. My airbnb is confirmed (I had one who cancelled on me two days ago). My friend will be with me for 5 days, abs I have to remain for 2 additional days.I think I'm over prepared but I'd rather be over than missing something.
