Getting things done
Hello dollies!
Im almost at the finish line, and as usual I find myself rushing to get things done, wrapped up, finished and or started before I immerse myself in the "butt" world. With 8 days between me and a nicer me, Im both excited and apprehensive. Only because I can picture myself at my desired results but also telling myself that it may not come out perfect and I need to accept that.
I find it easier to stay really busy because I get more done when I have a lot in my to do list. I finally got the result from my labs and my clearance yesterday, and after a minor hiccup with the scanner, Ive emailed everything to the surgery coordinator. IM just waiting for the receipt confirmation and i'll be able to breath much better.
Ive also booked the recovery house, because since I live with only my husband and 4yo daughter, it'll be easier for all of usia my husband takes care of my daughter and Im taken care of somewhere else. Ive booked with a recovery house that has recently opened and it looks beautiful in the pics. The offer all the meals, car service, a RN on staff, most of the post op supplies along with other amenities, so Im excited that I can relax and focus on the recovery after the surgery.
Ive started prepping things at home so my husband can find things easier and Im selecting what to bring to the recovery house. Ive told myself not to bring too much because is only 5 days, but Im sure I'll end up overpacking because that's just what I do. I found these one size maxi dresses at Ross Stores that are only $10 and made of colorful print cotton, and are the perfect shapeless comfy garment for after surgery. Im so excited about my surgery, that it almost feels like Im taking a vacation from everything. Then I remember that I'm going for surgery and I comeback down to earth. Having confidence in the doctor I chose, makes for a great state of mind and a pleasant journey.
How about you girls? What are you getting done as the time approaches?

Blood tests done today!
Almost there! I just had my blood tests done for the pre-op and they need to be there 6 days before my surgery. So excited! I told someone today that I was going to get lipo and when they said I didn’t need it, I promptly replied: is because I’m so good at hiding it! A quick flash of my belly led this very dear person to think I was pregnant. Once corrected, she apologized profusely and this became a good conversation about weight loss and the struggle we women face with age and problem areas.
This is the issue with some people like me. I’m overweight in a way that’s not really an obvious way unless someone knew you previously. Every time I put on weight it goes to my face and my belly while the rest of me remains much leaner. It didn’t use to be a big problem to fix, just some spanx and I was good to go.
But age doesn’t forgive or forgets anyone and after my daughter was born I didn’t bounce back as quick as I had hoped. I tried several other ways to stay in shape but neither worked and in the past year it seems that nothing is going to fix me but surgery.
Dr Dowbak’s style is the best of all I’ve seen because I’ve been researching bbl for close to 3 years now. I’m very confident in her ability and her approach.
13 days more to go. No nerves, only calm hope.
After all the only thing I have to lose is fat and who wants to keep that?
