I haven't been able to get any wi-fi where my room is. I'm sittin at the pool right now on my yoga mat and boppy just long enough to let yall know what it is..... and its all love!!! I'm so happy. I fell in love with Dr. Ortega and his staff.. (special s/o to my anesthesiologist... you my boo Ricky! ;)) Immediately after my stomach hurt and stung for a few minutes really bad... that was the bruising and swelling moving into place! once it did that and we got the compression garment on it wasn't bad at all. Felt like my ribs were hurtin, my nurse said that was a common complaint among patients right after. It didn't take long at all for me to start wanting to get up so my post op stay wasn't very long at all. On the ride home I layed on my stomach and the pain in my ribs started moving downward. until it felt like poop pains... then it moved to the bottom of my belly and felt like a big ball of fluid I was balancing on while my hubby tackled the Miami traffic! When I got to the hotel I had to pee, I went and the front of my garment was soaked with fluid. I was draining from the bottom of my belly like crazy!!!! I repeat... LIKE CRAZY!!! It was awesome!!! I felt much better. I feel great right now. I have read thats how it usually is the first day then days 2&3 are a different story. We'll see! Follow up tomorrow. I didnt have time to order a pee ez(?) I went to WalMart and got a turkey baster with a removable bulb and some silicone funnels. Removed the bulb, stuck the baster in the funnel spout to extend it... perfect! watertight! I got to go back to the room so I can get back on my belly! I took some pics but they are on my phone... in the room. Besides.... the pics don't do it justice... HE HOOKED ME UP!!!!!! I will post some JUST AS SOON as I get some good ones!
9 days and not sure how I feel
9 more days and we leave for Miami. This seems so unreal. I don't really feel like it's going to actually happen yet. I don't think it has hit me, it all happened so fast. It was barely 2 weeks ago I became definite I was 'goin to do something!'.. after years of wishing and dreaming. Now, it's almost time. I booked my hotels the other day. We are going to stay in Miami for the first few days and after my follow up we are going to Orlando so I can chill and the hubby and kids can enjoy themselves. Now, the thing that's really on my mind: I thought after I paid the deposit on my sx that I was suppose to receive a 'packet' via email about my labs and everything else... I haven't.... this is beginning to worry me. I could have sworn that's what she said. I thought I had the option of having my labs done here before I go. I left a message and haven't heard anything back yet... I'm trying to be patient but I like to have my stuff together and know exactly whats going on. I wanted to pay more on my sx too but not until I know more. :(: Still ready!!
