My Journey to Dr. Valls

I caught a perfect glimpse of my butt in a mirror at Target. It was positioned just right to where you didn't need to twist to see it. It was in that moment I decided I couldn't walk around like this for much longer. I heard of implants & injections but wasn't interested in those. Then I heard of BBL and knew it was my answer. Originally I linked up with a coworker's daughter who had previous sx in the DR that she was happy with. She recommended I get quotes from Hilario Duran, Yily DeLosSantos & Hector Cabral. I put in a request to all & did some research. I found that Cabral was banned from the States & burned women in the DR. I sent him pics as requested on his website but NEVER received a response. I could NEVER get anyone to take my call. So naked pics of me were sent to who knows where with who knows who for no reason. I received a higher price from Duran and limited info. I received a better price from Dr. Yily and a VERY detailed email. They returned emails within 2 days so through the process of elimination I was going to go with her. I intended to go to the DR with the coworker's daughter but that fell through. I didn't want to go thereby myself. I read an awful review of CIPLA right before it was shut down earlier this year. Then it reopened not long after. The review had pics and the reviewer was detailed so honestly her review made me consider docs in the US. I discovered through RS that a Dr Valls had a special that would run very comparable in price to that of going to DR. I know the lecture of you get what you pay for but I researched him as I did the others. I learned that he is not a board certified plastic surgeon and the clinic, Imagenes, didn't hide this fact. But a doc doesn't need to be a board certified plastic surgeon to practice it in FL. S/he only needs to be a board certified general surgeon to practice plastic surgery in that state. I also learned that Dr. Valls has been practicing plastic surgery for 30 years and has 0 deaths. Through other reviews I also learned he is not very well known and it's maybe because he doesn't give women that stripper booty they want. He's more about natural shapes and that doesn't always include the fattest ass, which is fine with me. I want a nice, natural, curvy shape rather than the biggest butt I can get. I also learned that there are 2 Imagenes clinics both on SW 8th but the "good one" is 8396. I called for a quote and spoke with Maria Karla. She's very sweet & attentive. She always gets back to me within a day. Imagenes is not Vanity or Eres. I originally called them back in April before the location was bought by Imagenes, when it was Eres. It does seem legit that it's a different company because Imagenes doesn't work with Dr. Fisher when Eres did. I originally spoke with a Alexandra but she was no longer there either. All the docs work at different locations & like others say, you can have a great doctor but a terrible clinic. The docs are contract workers. They don't own or run these clinics. Originally my max BMI was 35 and now my goal weight is 33.5 BMI. I'm 5'2" 211 right now. I booked with Imagenes and sx date is 8/14/17. The special I booked gives me until the end of August to get down to 195 so that's what I'm working on everyday. I lost 7 pounds in 9 days just by cutting carbs. Now I'm incorporating exercise. If I can't lose this remaining 15 pounds by then the price will go up by $500. I'm not too worried about surgery (for now). I've had a TT before in my home state with no complications. I'm going to do another review about RH. This post is long enough lol! Before photos will be posted if/when I get the surgery.

Anyone going to Curvy Angels around August 12-21? I'll be traveling alone.

So the clinic told me I had to lose 25 pounds to be under 34 BMI. With a goal of losing 2 pounds per week I barely had enough time to lose it by the August 31 deadline. BUT I have been doing it successfully and each week I surprise myself. I started out cutting all bad carbs like bread & pasta. I still eat good carbs like bananas. This really jumpstarted my weight loss and I didn't even exercise. I plateaued at 7 pounds and started running/walking on the treadmill for 30 minutes about 3 days a week. And this has been my routine that has helped me. I fall off the wagon every now & again because I'm also taking 2 classes & I have a full time job. It has not been easy to try & lose weight too. Plus it's summer and there's so many things to do. I can't always say no to a cookout burger. But I've been pretty good at having just meat. So if I do have a burger I don't take a bun. I've been slacking on getting on the treadmill more lately because there's just not enough time. So I bought these 5 day juice cleansers. They're supposed to help with weight loss. They do seem to help. I'm in day 3 but did cheat a bit. You're suppose to drink only the juices but if you're really hungry for more you can have raw fruits & vegetables. It takes more determination that I have but I do have to stop cheating here & there.
I also have a problem with knowing my exact height. I always thought I was 5'6". Originally they said I only had to lose 10 pounds. Then I double checked and a clinic measured me at 5'4". This obviously affects my BMI. I had my sister measure me t home with a tape measure and again, 5'4". But then I went to get my birth control implant removed & they measured me at 5'5". Which if I'm 5'5" then my BMI is good right now. I'm hoping when I get thee they measure me t 5'5" but I'm still going to try & get down to 195 just to be on the safe side. I have a big chest & I read a review that said they changed the BMI without notifying patients so when she got there she was a little over but that he proceeded because she had a large chest which I do too. So even if their scales read me a little higher than 195 I can bring into account my large chest.
Overall the weight loss challenge hasn't been that hard. I've always had weight problems in my adult life & could never get the motivation. I'm seeing this goal as a $500 reward because if I don't get it in time then that's the upcharge. And this is exactly the motivation I needed. I've lost 19 pounds so far and it's the most weight I've ever lost. Once I got my mindset on looking at foods for what they are (protein, carbs, fat) instead of how they taste it was a little easier. If you're trying to lose weight I wish you well. It's not too bad with the right motivation. :-)
