Nope my surgery is officially cancelled. Due to my genetic hemoglobin deficiency I had no choice but to cancel. My hemoglobin does not get to the required levels and they will not operate under what's required even with my doctor giving me medical clearence. I wish you all well on your surgeries!

Labs
Not happy got my labs back and my hemoglobin came back low. I'm at a 10.7 need to be around a 12 minimum 11.5 in 3 weeks. Any tips? Ive began taking floradix which is an iron supplement with a high absorb rate. Any other suggestions? Flight already booked would hate to have to change my surgery date.

Yea and I'm content with Valls based on his records (no deaths) I'm just praying I'm able to keep my date since I took of work and booked flight already. I'm stressing soooo bad

Yes you should. Supposed to be 12-14 they will allow 11.7 minimum.

It sounds simple, but increase your intake of leafy greens like spinach. Juice it or have it raw.

I'm having my surgery with Dr. Valls in Miami on...
I'm having my surgery with Dr. Valls in Miami on June 7th 2017. I'm really excited. I've done a lot of research and believe Valls and I are a good fit. The only issue I've had is sometimes it takes a while for someone to get back to me when I have questions. Other than that everyone I've spoke to has been really healpful. I'll be staying in Miami for 7 days at a nearby hotel, I have a friend coming along to care for me as needed. I added on an extra area of lipo for $500 for my arms. When I lost weight I also lost my figure and butt so this is my reward to myself! There isn't much about Dr. Valls out here which is why I wasn't to share my experience. I'll post before pics prior to surgery which is 1 month away!!!
