30th Bday Present to Myself...BBL

Possible fibrosis?

WORTH IT$5,400
Hey all! It's been a minute since I've updated. The healing process is slow. I am enjoying my body so far though. I'm also really glad that my butt and hips have softened up tremendously. My only issue is my abdomen. It feels hard and lumpy despite massaging it everyday and wearing the faja/garment all day. Now I'm trying to figure out if I have fibrosis. You can see the dents in my lower abdomen. It's also very misshapen at the top below my breasts.

I need to find a knowledgeable doctor/surgeon here that can let me know what's going on!

I'm currently 16 days post-op, and my results are finally starting to grow on me. A good bit of the initial swelling has gone down, but I'm also still very stiff particularly in my lower abdomen/back region. I'll just be happy when I can be and feel normal again. Here are a few pics from yesterday. I'll post better ones later!

Thank you!! I actually don't know how much fat was transferred into each cheek. I didn't specify, and I didn't ask him afterwards. I just told him to make it look good! :-)

You look great! How long before you were able to go back to work?

Thank you!! I'm actually a teacher so I'm out for the summer right now. Based on how I'm recovering, I really wouldn't suggest anyone go back to work for 2-3 weeks following the surgery. Everyone is different though!

I do hair and I'm blocked off 2 weeks but I think I may do 3. I'm scheduled July 12

Definitely do 3 weeks if you can especially since you're on your feet all day doing hair! You'll still be swollen, and I personally am still a little stiff so I don't move around all that great. I've been trying to be more active to help with all of that though.

Ok thanks. I'm going to block that time off now. Did you take a lot of things with you for your recovery? I'm still trying to figure out what to pack smh

You're welcome! I wouldn't suggest taking a lot especially if you're traveling. You want to make sure it won't be too much to deal with when traveling back home. However, from my experience, the essentials you will definitely need are a female urinal (got mine from Walmart) so you can stand up to pee, underpads for the bed (you'll be draining; get them from the adult incontinence aisle), flushable wipes, moderate/heavy non-stick surgical pads (use them under your faja over your incisions to catch drainage), extra pair of compression socks, extra faja (so you can wash and alternate them daily), loose fitting maxi dresses, and camis/tank tops to go under your faja.

Ok. I did buy the urinal from amazon. I'll grab the other stuff today. Thank you sooo much! Where did you purchase your faja? I get one with my sx so I have no idea where to get another or which one to get. Also, did you use the arnica gel or pills that everyone talks abt?
User Avatar

No problem girl! I didn't know what to pack either so I'm glad to be able to help others!! I purchased one from my doctor's office when I got there but they are waaaay to high. Order one from Amazon! They literally sell the same brand! I'll send you a link to your direct messages! I've been using the arnica gel, but I actually never found the pills in store! I didn't start using the gel until I was a week post op. My massage therapist suggested it for my bruising!

Great thanks. I'll definitely buy another one. How long will you have to use the bbl pillow?

You'll need the pillow for two months

Omg i love your results!!! Im scared i get surgery in december. How was waking up and everything?
User Avatar

Thank you!! Waking up was scary!!! I was freezing and shaking so badly. I had read about that happening, but I wasn't prepared for it myself. The pain the first day sucks as well. I just wish they would let whoever is with you for surgery go get your prescriptions filled before they were done with the procedure. I had to wait hours before my prescription was filled after surgery. I was just glad I had brought my own Tylenol with codeine from my doctor with me to hold me over until my prescription was filled that day.

This recovery process is no joke. I hate that I'm so stiff (mostly at night), and it sucks having to rely on someone to help you with pretty much everything. I'm also fed up with these compression socks. The left side of my body seems to be healing up just fine, but my right abdomen is holding fluid. I'm pretty sure I have a seroma. My therapist says if she's not able to massage it out after my next session or so that I should go see a surgeon here about it :-(. I'll add pics of that on the next post....

Were you able to talk to your se about the built up fluid... Were you able to get it out
User Avatar
June 23, 2017
I actually ended up going to see a surgeon down here yesterday. Another small seroma popped up on my left lower abdomen so I had that drained after going to get an ultrasound. As for my right side, they didn't find any excess fluid built up there. The surgeon said it just seems to still be swollen and some hard tissue. It's actually gone done a lot since my last post.

I've been reading all these bad reviews and I'm so nervous about sticking with Jolie(eres) because of all the bad reviews I'm seeing
User Avatar

Honestly, if I had to do it all over again, I wouldn't. I do like my results; however, the recovery process is brutal. The workers at Jolie aren't very personable or helpful, but Hasan does an amazing job. Also, don't get your massages done at Jolie (even if they're included). Go to Medical Massage Professionals. Marian is soooo nice, and she does an amazing job on your body post-op!

Why not get ur massage done at Jolie.they do bad massage

I got one done at Jolie, but it wasn't great compared to the massages I got done with Marian at Medical Massage Professionals. I wouldn't recommend getting them done at Jolie.
