23 yo , F, BBL, Lipo Miami May 2015 Salama

So this past week I received a consultation with Dr. Salzhauer of Bal Harbour Plastic Surgery Associates, also known as "Bal Body." The staff was pleasant and understanding. I've been contemplating this procedure just over three years and I am confident that now is the time to proceed with getting the body that I have always wanted. I opted for the Skype consultation which consisted of a brief phone conversation that reviewed medical history, expectations, about the doc/team and of course, the procedure.

After the doctor received my photos, I received a quote within 24 hours via email. I was very pleased with the pricing as I was estimating a price tag well over 14k. I got a decent discount which helps a ton. However, I have to pay for medical clearance, prescriptions and a few things I may need for post op like a pillow which is covered by my insurance (the pillow is inexpensive and if you have a baby you may already have one.) I am getting the fat grafted from four areas of my body. As of now, I am aiming for a surgery date in late January/early February. I will keep this post updated with pre-op and post-op photos.

My first procedure ever. Not experiencing jitters yet, "like is this really happening?" Sure I will soon. I have to lose about 20-25 lbs prior to surgery so I will also keep you guys updated about what worked for me, etc.

It's been three weeks since my initial consult and I have not scheduled surgery as of yet. This is just an update since I will definitely schedule by the first week of December... I'm hoping that the first week of January is not a stretch. Other than that... Any people who are interested in buddying between January and February please let me know!

And any packing information/prep information would be great!!!

I am updating you all on my surgery process.

I waited to long to book my surgery wih Dr Salzhauer in Miami. Now he's booked until September. I am disappointed in myself for not being so proactive in the beginning. I am waiting for a quote from Dr Duran. She is really hard to get in contact with but I will give her office some more time to respond to my inquiry. I received a quote from Dr Campos which was 6495 and I felt was a bit much for surgery in Mexico. Especially for what I wanted. He suggested a tummy tuck but vein as thought I haven't had children yet not do I have excess skin I didn't want to go that route. I am 201 but I have more of an athletic build so most of it can be attributed to muscle mass (in my opinion.) I am more comfortable with staying in the States but if I find the right doctor I was willing to go the extra mile no mater what as long as I felt in my heart it was right, which explains why I reached out to Duran in the DR. So we will see what happens with this one. Hopefully I will be booked and can start ordering my packing list and ready by April for Surgery in May 2015. Right now I am leaning heavily towards Salama which will lipo all my areas request and BBL for 9800.
