Packing reminder

Ladies just wanted to say that I totally overpacked for this trip. I packed an outfit for everyday of the trip and it was totally unnecessary. They give you two garments after your surgery and that's just about all I wore. Nothing else. The crotch/butt part is open (so you can urinate/have a bowel movement without taking it off) and if your caretaker doesn't mind you freely walking around like that, then I'd highly advise to do it. So comfortable.

Growing up, I was never really thin. I was on the larger side and reached my peak of 215 pounds until my senior year of high school. Once I graduated, I finally decided to take maters into my own hands and lose the weight by working out. 4 years later and I was 160 pounds, the most stable weight I was at for a long period of my life. Seemed like more weight could not come off of my body. And those who have had a tremendous amount of weight lost know that it comes with a price. Your skin stretches and leave those beautiful tiger marks that you grow to become proud of. I still had this stubborn pudge right under my belly that created a crease. I was so self conscious and never wanted to be in a bathing suit or let alone naked. One day, a coworker of mine showed me a snapchat of a doctor who put his surgeries in real time on his stories for anyone to view. I was super intrigued and loved the end results. So I finally decided it was time to put my problems in the hands of Dr. Miami himself!!! It was probably the BEST decision I could have ever made in my life. I called this past May/June and was scheduled for September 26, 2016. It was a bit discouraging to be scheduled so far out but I believed that Dr. Salzhauer would only be booked out until 2017 because his quality is surgery is impeccable. I had told Jovana (she's amazing!!!) that I had open availability and could pay on th spot if anyone's appointment we dropped for any reason. Not even a month later and she calls me to tell me that there was an open spot for this September on the 17th...I felt like I had honestly won the lottery; I was screaming into the phone with excitement. I paid my surgery off in full and the date was set! I had a few months to prepare everything such as my stay, flight, etc. with Taylor (I love her, she's so sweet and has an AMAZING memory). Jovana continuously stayed in touch and made sure I remained excited about my upcoming appointment. The day before my surgery, I went in for my pre-op appointment and to meet Dr. Salz! Let me tell you, there is just something about his energy that puts me at ease...he made me feel very comfortable and listened to what it was that I was looking for. They gave me a bunch of prescriptions for after the surgery and two of them were Xanax and zofran. I took a Xanax with a little bit of water prior to falling asleep the night before. Then popped another Xanax and a Zofran the morning of surgery. I wasn't nervous about the surgery at all, which is weird because I actually get a little nervous when I think back on it. He came in and marked me up and took a look at my wish pics (small waist, big booty, and nice round breasts that look natural yet big with side boob action) he assured me that he could achieve the look I was going for...YAYYYYY!!! Barry, the anesthesiologist, came in to meet me and also was amazing. Didn't even feel him put any needles into my arm. My favorite though, was when Ahresh (assisted Dr. Salz in the OR) asked me what song I wanted to listen to. Of course, I insisted they play Zedd-Spectrum (lucky star remix). I was out before I knew it. When I was in the recovery room I was in the care of Chelsea...super sweet. Everyone was super sweet, I think you guys get the picture. I was FREEZING and shaking when I woke up and she gave me the warmest blanket. I had met Marlene and Taylor while I was in the recovery room as well (which I have no recollection of). The next few days were HELL...I don't think I've ever been in so much pain in my life. I guess it's easily subsided because I was sleeping for majority of the time. Lol I even regretted chasing my dreams of getting a BBL, but that was easily erased when the nurse came by my hotel the day after surgery and changed my garments/washed my body down since I was too weak to get up for a shower. My body was TINY, I fell in love immediately. My waist was snatched and I finally had curves where my body was once square!! During the week after my surgery, I remained hydrated and took all my medication when I was supposed to. All the antibiotics made me very nauseous and hard for me to keep food down. Once the week was up, I had my post-op appointment. When I arrived, Marlene took my stitches and drains out for me so easily and painless. Then Dr. Salz came by to take a look and everything was looking fabulous. I am finally off my antibiotics and 9 days post op!!! Feeling wonderful and beautiful as ever. Dr. Salz is amazing inside and outside of the OR...I couldn't have been any more appreciative of what he's done for me.
