9 months later

So it’s been a while but I figured I would post an update. 9 months since surgery and I’m doing pretty great! The last few months included a big change and a move overseas. My follow ups with the doctor have been virtual and they have been great. I’m fully healed, scars are fading and things seem to have settled nicely.

I’m very happy with my breasts, the size is perfect, they are starting to look natural and thankfully the stubborn one seems have dropped into place. I have noticed they are a little wide on my chest, I wish they were a bit closer together but again, the doctor told me our natural body shape comes into play. I think they look amazing compared to what I started with!!

My arms have healed really well. I still wear my compression garment night. I feel more comfortable in it. I’ve got some nerve issues, I think, on my lower right arm that the compression sleeves help so I still wear them. I’m hopeful that will heal in time also as I get more comfortable without wearing the garment. I’ve started doing some upper body weight training to tone my new arms and shoulders and it’s working.

I started back at the gym 3 weeks after surgery and focused on cardio for 3 months. I’ve been adding weight training slowly. Push ups and pull ups still feel strange and I’m not sure I’ll ever do those again. All things considered, I’m loving life and am very happy with my decision and outcome. I’m headed back to Dr. Broudo in a month to see about addressing my lower body next...we’ll see!

3 weeks post op, feeling back to normal

I'm doing pretty well for 3 weeks out. My arms are healing great, no issues and I'm very happy. Still wearing compression sleeves pretty much 24/7 because they make me feel more secure. I found a spanx 3/4 sleeve shirt that is great.

Breasts have been slower to progress, my right is being stubborn and won't drop. I'm wearing the band and doing the massages but it's still high and tight. Hoping it goes down soon.

I'm back at work, driving, wearing normal clothes, only taking Tylenol and even went to the gym yesterday and rode the stationary bike with no issues. Can't complain really!

How long until they feel like me?

How long until these new girls feel like mine? Right now I feel like I've got two softballs strapped to my chest. They are hard and stiff and don't move! I also feel like they are huge. My doctor doesn't talk about cc's before surgery. I tried on sizers and he measured my frame and made suggestions before but the cc size was kept quiet until after surgery. Turns out my doctor went with 700cc high profile. It sounds huge to me! But I remembered I also had a lift and most of my original tissue is gone and just skin was left. I trust him completely but am just anxious to see what they will look like and when they will feel like a part of me. What do you ladies think?
