Hi all I'm 15 days post op. I have to thank God that everything went so well. I was afraid at first because I was thinking I might not wake up from the anesthesia, but those are just the negative thoughts working at your brain. I feel really good still taking my 1000 mg of vitamin c, eating 3 (protein) meals/day with 2 fruits snacks and/or power greens like arugula, spinach, kale, etc....I'm eating pineapple as it contains bromelaine to help with swelling, eating low sodium keeping away from breads, pasta & greasy foods as I know this will not help my healing process. I'm very regular as far as going to the bathroom is concerned only had an issue at day 4 but that got cleared. Water is key, still walking but I stop when I get tired. Listen to your body & don't push your limits. Using Arnica for bruising. Using my butribullet for power greens shakes. I have my raja provided by my dr but willgget me a Colombian raja as I hear are the best for contouring your body. For anyone having doubts......they are normal, but don't allow them to take over you. Dare to experience a new you buy moving forward with your surgery, you will thank yourself for it. My son said wow mommy your belly no longer touches the dinner table and this made me happy. Allow others to care for you, this is very important. Have a good support system around you. I have a 3 yr old and a 7 year old and they knew not to jump on mommy when they saw my drain tubes. Instead, they were both super helpful as well as my husband and mother. I love them all and I love the new "ME"

This is wonderful to hear thank you! I go in for lipo and fat transfer on the 30th with the exact same fear of not waking up. And all else that comes along with it. I even second guess if this is a good idea at times. Thank you for sharing it has really helped me. I have been keeping up with all of your updates and am going in with Dr. Simon as well. I have also questioned him because of some not so good comments but am realizing that he is a great doctor and a friend of mine that also had a procedure said the same. I feel so much better and will also have faith as you have.

That is so sweet about your little ones! It is very important to have a very good support system. I think it is hard to be taken care of when you are the one usually doing the "taking care of". :) I am so happy for you and that surgery went well. I, too, have been struggling with reading some bad reviews or reactions and thinking...Do I really want to do this? Can I do this? I guess my concern is my weight isn't off to where I want, but I honestly don't see it moving now. Do I have to keep waiting year after year to lose weight that is taking forever? So then I get down. Your reviews cheer me up and I love how positive you are! You are so supporting, giving great advice/tips, and sharing your experience with the rest of us. I know that I'm not the only one who reads them and so appreciates you! I go this Friday {the 19th} to take my blood and wait until the week after for my blood test results. Then I will know if I get my medical clearance or not. I'm trying not to get excited as I just don't want to be let down if it doesn't work out. I do know that whatever happens, happens for a reason and doesn't mean I won't ever get it done. I'm still hoping for a 'body tune up". so as soon as I get the go ahead I will start my own review. Thanks again for all of your tips and sharing! You are amazing! Continued Happy Healing to you!

12 Days Post Op & happy as can be

I'm 12 days post op. Got my drains removed at 10 days post. By day #9 I was draining a bit less than 25 on each drain and so my dr decided to wait a day after to remove drains. It didn't hurt, the nurse asked me to take deep breaths and before I knew it they were gone. Still eating healthy 3 meals/day and 2 snacks (fruits or a veggie smoothie). I drink lots of water, but be careful not to overload on too much water as this too will bloat you up. I'm walking still, I listen to my body. The minute I'm tired, I just go lay down. I can shower freely. I wrap my scar area with sean wrap so I don't wet it which helps you shower freely. I feel good, taking an extra week off of work since my boss is in London..... I figured why not. I swell up at night and this is bothersome cause I feel tight in the stomach area but I have to remind myself that this is the healing process and eventually this swelling will go away. I have some pics! Anyone out there thinking about doing this.....go ahead, do something nice for yourself for a change because you will feel amazing. And anyone in the Miami area, I totally recommend my PS Dr. Sean Simon

So happy to read your review! Looking great! That is smart to listen to your body. I was planning on doing that as well. I will walk around to prevent blood clots, but for other things I'm going to not push it. Thanks for sharing your review! When I first started RS I almost decided to not do any of my surgeries as I was scared of some really bad reviews I had read. Luckily, I'm calming down and reading other good reviews. I'm taking in tips and advice for when I get my tt. Fortunately, most everyone has a "It's worth it" on their reviews. :) Continued Happy Healing!!

Thank you for taking the time to read my reviews. Yes go ahead and do it, listen to your body, take vitamin C, eat protein for the 3 main meals and don't forget your veggies. I eat pineapple as it contains bromelain to help with swelling. Good luck!

Thanks for replying! :) You have great ideas and I like seeing your progress. Thank you so much for sharing with us! I will make sure that I have lots of fresh pineapple around as well as Vitamin C and protein. Thanks for the pineapple tip and I will definitely add that to my recovery diet. I do like pineapples.:) Continued Happy Healing!!

Fantastic! You will see everything will turn out just fine. Just remember to take it day by day and to be positive. Also buy arnica cream for bruising. That stuff is amazing. Good luck to you. Also, as far as the pineapple is concerned do not discard the mid section of it. This is the part that contains the most bromelaine.

Thank you for your encouragement! I've hit a bit of a down part. I'm just feeling kind of depressed. I haven't lost the weight that I've wanted and I'm exhausted. What kind of Arnica cream should I get? There looks to be different kinds. Thanks for that tip as well as I bruise like a peach! I will remember about the pineapple. What are you doing with the mid section? Any tips?

5 Days post op & First shower

User Avatar

Today makes 5 days since my TT, smart lipo of flanks, back, bat wings and abdomen. I feel really good. Been taking care of myself by not eating salty foods, drinking plenty of water, taking 1000 mg of vitamin C, walking for 15 minutes every 2 hours during the day, using arnica for bruising, voltaren for areas of swelling & pain and 1000 mg of vitamin C. Only bothersome areas now are the areas where I had smart lipo which have fluid but I'm doing the massages to get rid of that. I get tired quick. Today I decided to shower and I guess the water was too hot because I almost fainted. My husband showered me and I just kept hearing his voice farther and farther away. I immediately controlled my breathing & raised my arms and started feeling better within secs. That was a bit scary. I'm drinking nitribullet veggie and fruit shakes and I try to eat protein every 3-4 hrs. Don't have much of an appetite. Ok here are some pics I took today. I actually saw my belly today and I love it. I'm so happy and thankful for my PS Dr. Sean Simon or Dr. Magic. I am very pleased. Still a bit bruised, swollen but I'm on my way to recovery. I can't believe I didn't do it sooner.

Congratulations! You look great! I've heard a lot of people say the lipo is very painful after. Hopefully it won't be so sore soon. Sorry that you almost fainted, but glad that you didn't. That would be so scary! Thanks for updating. I haven't had my surgery yet and still waiting to schedule it. I've been reading reviews to get tips, etc. Glad to see such a positive review! Happy Healing!!
