BBL, Dr. Fisher & Vanity Review Plus $$$$$ Saving Tips!!! - Miami, FL

After 2 kids, 2 yrs of research and contemplation, I took a chance on 1/26/15 and finally had my BBL procedure done by Dr. Fisher at Vanity Cosmetics in their Miami office. I'm now 7 weeks post-op & I have no regrets whatsoever. I've got my body and my booty back, It's almost summer and I can't wait to get back onto the beach and in a bikini with no shame!!! Dr. fisher- Very down-to-earth & funny but, what I appreciated mostly about him was his honesty. During my consult, he was very upfront and told me that Lipo alone would not be able to get my lower stomach completely flat and I would have to commit to exercise plus a healthy diet in order to achieve that. He also informed me (after showing him several wish pics) that he would inject as much fat into my butt that it could handle and for me to not expect the procedure to get rid of a " pocket of cellulite" at the bottom of one butt cheek. I had realistic expectations going in but, immediately after surgery my expectations were exceeded plus some!!! My pre-op measurements were 36-37-40, I'm now 36-28-47!!!!!!! Vanity- I've read a lot of bad reviews re: Vanity's Miami office however; I had no issues at all. They are a lil' disorganized but, I knew this going in. I expected to be in the office the day of my consult for at least 6 hrs based off of other reviews but, I was in and out w/in 2.5hrs. My wait time for my follow-up the day after surgery did seem long but, I think it was more because I was in pain and accidentally took one of those pain pills on an empty stomach!(Huge mistake!). As long as you have your IPad, Phone, a friend w/u or even talk to the other girls that are waiting in the lobby w/u, the time goes by very quickly. "Fajas"- I had NO idea what a faja was prior to my experience. I would have easily wasted at least $200 if it weren't for a friend of mine explaining the sizes and style that I would most likely need. I can't emphasize enough how important it is to have 2 Fajas NOT 1 during your 1st post-op week. Your faja that you came out of surgery with will be full of blood and fluid, you will need and want a shower after your 2nd day follow-up. Please make sure you have a 2nd faja to put on while your original is being cleaned. It's very difficult to explain but, you feel sooo uncomfortable even for an hour w/out your Faja during the first several weeks after surgery. Vanity charges $120 just for one Faja, feel free to contact me at I have 2 Vedette 929's/Celeste (same style given at the Office) new, still in the package never opened. Please email me @ anewun2015 for Huge savings on these Fajas!!! Both sizes are 42(Extra Large). I am 5'8" pre-op weight was 165lbs and this was the size given to me by Vanity. If you are not familiar with Fajas, the sizing can be very tricky, it's easy to waste $$$ purchasing the wrong size garments and not all sellers issue refunds. Massages- I did only one massage at Vanity for $85 the day after surgery and I hated every minute of it. 1st off, It was very hard to lay on a massage table 1 day after surgery. 2nd of all, it just felt uncomfortable and nasty with all the fluids being pushed around. I researched and ended up buying an endermologie machine for $120 and massaged out the hard spots myself instead of spending $300-$500 for lymphatic massages which many Dr's do not recommend so soon after Lipo. "Out-of-Towner's"- I came from Tampa to Miami for my surgery as the procedure is not as popular and the prices are not as competitive in my area plus I was sold on Dr. Fisher. I stayed at the Hyatt House by the airport, it was approx 4 miles from Vanity, had a kitchenette, living room, a separate bedroom and bath. There's plenty of space to do your post-op walking which help to prevent blood clots and breakfast and dinner are free. It was a lil' pricey but PERFECT. I paid $149/night and stayed 5 nights total before going back to Tampa. I would highly recommend getting a suite and not a standard room if you can afford to. Having a kitchenette helps save $$$, you can cook your own meals once you feel up to it (day 3 on average) and there's so much more space so you don't get cabin fever. Clothing- Do not bring a lot of clothes, the only thing you need are maxi dresses. Prob 5 max. "The Unexpected"- The pain, the amount of swelling(I retained so much fluid that my eyes including the rest of my face looked like Will Smith in the movie 'Hitch' after he had an allergic reaction to whatever it was that he ate!!! Bruising and.....My period- I am usually like clock work when it comes to this but, I started the day after surgery. Apparently, it happens to a lot of women due to the body being in shock. Be prepared and bring items with you in case this happens to you as well. Highly Recommended Item-a Walker w/wheels!!! Get 1 at Walmart for $58 bucks, it is $$$ we'll spent. Trust me!!!! Lots of women told me that they'd wished they would've gotten one when I would go in the office for follow-ups. All in all I had an excellent experience, I can't come up with enough positive things to say about Dr. Fisher, his staff and of course my new booty!!!
