I've been debating on surgery for a while now. After severe diastasis recti (an seperation with the last child I am ready to my body back. Surgery is scheduled for 13 July. I am super nervous and excited at the same time. Dr. Alvarez and his coordinator Yenia is very and has help throughout the process.

I am 5'4 and weigh 160. I wasn't told I did not meet the requirements once I sent in my measurment. My stomach is freakin huge from My last pregnancy. My son turn 11 months on June 11.

10 Days until surgery! Feeling like I am not prepared. What are some must haves that I would need? Not sure if I should take someone with me or if I should go to the recovery home????

I had to take someone with me to the surgery center. They won't release you if you're alone. Not even a cab can pick you up and bring you home. My mom, who came with, was even expected to stay the six hours of surgery at the center. I was in the recovery room for maybe an hour then sent on my way. Are you staying overnight?

I was planning to have someone with me at the hotel but don't think they will be able to make it. So I was thinking if I stayed in the recovery home they would pick me up and drop me off. I am just stressing out right now.

That's great they have a recovery room for you overnight. I'd call them to see what they expect for discharge....

Just want to stop and post that surgery went well. I am at about a 2 on the pain scale. I can tell a significant difference. Dr. Alvarez was the perfect gentleman. I will do a review on him and the facility a bit later. Resting and looking forward to great results.
