The doc said this is pretty close to what my final results will be. Some swelling at night but overall I AM IN LOVE - So glad I did this. The silicone tape is literally erasing the scar with only the worst parts still discernable - and they're mostly light pink. My scar is so low and straight, I wasnt concerned either way.
My bellybutton is a work of art.

Soooo much better! I still swell a little at night and have had a couple of days recently where the swelling was intense. But overall and most days the swelling seems to be minimal at night and almost gone by morning. Every day looking better. For all the complaining and discomfort - SO WORTH THIS! I took out a mirror and looked at myself from every angle - I am very hard on myself and always have been, but for the first time in my life i looked at my body and went "ah he** yes"
My scar is healing beautifully. It is so low and straight that I couldn't care less if it was bright neon purple. No dog ears. No weirdness. And my bellybutton is like a working art. My doctor is amazing.
So far I have dropped from a size 10 snug (that's how I measure myself) to a size 6 perfect - maybe an 8 on my super swollen days. I expect to get to a size 6 loose or 4 snug. Lol.

Well, still swollen. BUT! The past week has been like super quick recovery. I feel almost normal with only a touch of discomfort at night with phantom itches and swelling discomfort and feeling bloated.

My pants are all starting to fit and even be loose. Getting into some pants that I havent been able to in a MINUTE. Plus I am still swollen in the thighs and belly so I know it will only get better.

Even more than the results I am finally seeing, I am.just so happy to feel almost 100% again. I feel like working and being active and hope to get into the gym in the next week or so.

Still not wearing any compression garments. I have a trouble spot on my hip at the waist from the few days in the beginning when I DID wear the garment. The hose from my drain went up over my hip and I swelled around it. That crease was 2.5 inches deep at one point but now is just a vague line that almost goes away in the morning but returns in the evening a little. At least it is starting to.soften - it was rock hard for weeks. I totally blame the garment for that.
