Hi all I've been on this sight for over a year now and it is a wonderful site. I've been searching trying to decide if I would go into debt and have surgery here or go abroad! I found this site very helpful. I work at hospital and every time I speak with one of the physician about go Medical Tourism they start telling me how dangerous it is. I understand the risk and the risk I believe are the same regardless where the surgery is done.
As I mentioned I've been on the site for awhile and I never read where the surgery has gone bad. I hope that if this is the case the people on this site would give their stories as well. Wish me luck! I'm about ready to book and would like to know some good places in Mexico that I can have it done.

My surgery is over! 4weeks on tomorrow. I assume it was a success I'm losing weight slowly but it is coming off. I've lost about 21 pounds so far including the weight that I lost during pre-op.

Gaining weight since I decided to sleeve
I think I smile just being greedy now that I decided to sleeve..... Smh in 2 weeks I've hit an all time high for myself I'm now at 230 LBS. I'm craving things I've never craved before like ice cream, milk shakes, Leah cobbler just to name a few.....

Haha! If you're scheduled around Thanksgiving, it won't be long before you start the pre-op diet....maybe you're subconsciously having a "last hurrah"! Anyway, I just want to wish you the best. You already wear your weight well; I'm sure you'll look great and gain loads of confidence! :)

Girl, Have you prepaid with this doc? I am not opposed to going to other countries for surgery...my plan too. I had surgery in Mexico in my past. This one particular doctor does not have good info. on Real Self. Everyone complains of him scamming bank accounts, girl in coma, etc. I would not pay attention if a few bad reviews. His bad goes to overwhelming. Are you still going over Thanksgiving?

Yeah I've already paid. I did see the reviews after the fact. I've seen both good and bad and the biggest problem is that he schedules to many clients in a day. I read the bad reviews and a lot of good reviews as well. I did contact the agency with my concerns and they sent me the latest articles of him being vindicated and of him filing a suit against 3 women who are claimed to be the culprit of the bad media. I have prayed about it and have to be good with it or loose my money that I don't have to throw away. I will keep everyone posted as to how things goes.

I'm back and he was an awesome doctor. There were two people who had surgery when i did that family members had there surgery done with him and brought them to him. He was very personable and professional as well as his staff. The staff was eager to please and he talk to each person individually as well as collectively he came by the next morning and did bedside rounds and send other physicians to see you after you left the hospital. Not a problem at all. So far so good!
