14 weeks post-op

Just checking in really quick. All things are well, still have numbness in my tummy region. Has a belly button revision last week, it was a quick procedure, I didn't feel anything as I was still numb plus they numbed me some more. This should result in having a "innie" look versus what I had. I will post pictures once I start to get the stitches out, but other than that, I'm still excited about my results. It's funny, I went on a date and the guy kept going on about how fit I am and how I must take such good care of my body, I didn't have the heart to tell him I cheated a bit, but we are no longer speaking so I got out of that one. My scar is flat and smooth and so now I've started using bleaching cream to fade it, so I am elated at my results this early. Again, I'm doing all of my normal activities, even ran the snow blower the other day (couldn't lift the shovel though), I can work out, but can't do planks, so just listening to my body, but love how my clothes fit ad how I look particularly in dresses, you can really see the hourglass. Boy what a journey this has been. I had been using Mederma on my scar for weeks every evening, I don't know what that did either, maybe it helped it flatten, or it could have been my daily massage, not sure, just happy to be at this point. Thanks for reading.

2 months and 26 days post op update

Almost three months and I have to report I'm doing well. It's been a minute since I've been on here, mostly for two reasons. First, every time I posted something, sharing my progression, it seemed like immediately I had a set-back (discouraging), secondly, there is not much to report. Here's what's new with me:
*Embrace Scar strips do not work and are a waste of money. They would bunch in the center and leave a gap for moisture and would peel off. Only lasted 1-2 days
*The fat transfer to my breast has completely dissolved. I'm back to my old boob shape/size. I guess I wasn't surprised. Dr. Hardaway, repeatedly warned me that it most likely wouldn't stay so I basically don't get my expectations up.
*Scar has darkened, fading has stopped, in-spite of using Mederma every evening and BioOil twice daily.
*I stopped wearing my compression garment during the day. I waiting about 10 weeks before I felt comfortable and minimum swelling during the day. I wear it at night though just for comfort.
*I'm still shrinking. My waist is going down, still numb and still massaging my waist and back areas.
*All of my pants have a large gap
*All weight gained has gone to my rear - not a bad trade-off since my boobs aren't full anymore
* Belly button is just about closed, so am going for a revision in two weeks to re-open
*Back to normal activities, lifting, working out (no ab work yet-haven't tried), but able to lift weights and lift my 45lb son

I think that's it for now. I'll post more pics soon and update about the belly button revision. Oh, before i forget, I've lost some weight, so the fat pack (dog ear) is pretty much gone, but be careful with weight gain. Like I said it's all on my back side, back of thighs and butt, thighs a little bigger than I want, but overall very happy with my decision, great investment (except the breasts) and I would do it again. Also, I think my scar got darker once I stopped the protein (I believe it was really aiding in healing) but gave it up for a month.

Happy healing my fellow RS crew.

Day 56 update

I am almost to my 60 day mark and have had some highs and lows. My highs is that I still love my results, my scar is fading so amaziningly, I have two boxes of Embrace Scar strips i never opened, I have CVS scar strips I've not used. I just have been using my Bio Oil and Oil compound mixture and everyday I'm over the moon at the progress, I believe my scar will be faded completely in 6 months.

The lows is that my belly button is closing. Now I can't even get a q-tip in the hole, so back to the doctor, I think I have to get a steroid shot. She said my hips are still swollen, so i've been massaging them everyday and am just starting to not wear my cg all day. If I don't wear it and start to bend, I swell. At one point, each time I was swelling, stitches were popping out. I've pulled and cut three stitches and the doctor did one. I think they're all out, but for the areas where scars are left, she prescribed me some bleaching cream. I'm cool with that!

Can't wait for the summer to wear my tight little dresses and even a crop top. I ordered some going out dresses from ASOS and was so excited at how my body looks. My pants are loose at the top, So, no regrets. I'll let you guys know the update on my bb. I have to take pics and some of me in clothes. Oh and i can lift a little bit more, bend easier and getting the feeling back in my stomach- all highs for me. I hope everyone almost 60 days out is coming along as well if not better than I.

I felt very comfortable with Dr. Hardaway, her staff was very friendly and welcoming and open to all of my questions. Dr. Hardaway's use of technology impressed me, she was able to show me a digital image of how I would look after lipo and most importantly, made sure I was fully aware of what would take place with the procedures I would have. Comes highly recommended.
