Mommy of Three-over Due for a Tummy Tuck. Metro Detroit, MI

I am a 39 year old mother with two teen age kids and a 5 yo. I had lipo 10 years ago after hearing my husband talk about people with a "front butt", and it was the best decision I have ever made. That was after watching many ps shows and consultation. Since I know that i am not having any more kids, I've decided I will get a TT. I went a few years ago for more lipo and 2 out of the 3 doctors pointed out that I had hernia, so I had that repaired and afterwards lost 40 lbs. I looked great with a flat stomach for about 2 years but since gaining 20lbs, it's all in my tummy. I have 4 spanx, 2 waist trainers, CLA and every thing I've tried including working out. But thanks to videos and this site, I now feel comfortable enough to get a TT. I had my first consultation with Star Plastic Surgery, next Dr. Gray at the Michigan Cosmetic Surgery Center and my 3rd will be with Dr. Michelle Hardaway. But I can't wait, I just want to be strong enough to return to work after a week (that's my prayer anyhow). So I'm glad to have joined this community.

Today I went to my scheduled appointment for a tummy tuck at Michigan Cosmetic Surgery Center with Dr. Michael Gray, except I walked out an hour and a half later and didn't see him. Because of some of the reviews I read on this site, I was looking forward to meeting him, but when I arrived on time for my appointment, the staff was stiff and cold, they made me wait in the lobby for an half-hour, they didn't offer a drink, explanation, nothing; they even took someone who came in after me. When I went into the consultation room, I person helping me didn't even introduce herself, she asked questions from my paperwork and then asked me to show her my stomach, I asked her did she want me to pull up my skirt, what??? She looked at me like I was stupid and said yeah, so I showed it to her as if I was lying about the procedure. She quoted me price from memory and said ok, was that it and when I gave her a odd look, she said "Oh, did you want to see the doctor" and I told her yes. I even told her that I had money so she would stop treating me like cattle. She seemed shocked that I wanted to stay as she asked me several times was i sure I wanted to see the doctor. When I said yes, she told me it would be another half hour. After I waiting for 45 minutes in a closed room with a looping commercial of Dr. Gray, I left. It seemed like a cattle call and it was more quantity versus quality. It's a shame that my time, gas, feelings or consideration for this doctor meant nothing to them. All I can say to people considering them is know that YOU DESERVE BETTER! But a loss for them, I found a fabulous Dr. that I am going to share with you in the next post.

Today, I met with Mariam Awada and was very pleased with the staff, her thoroughness and honesty. She suggested I loss 10lbs to have more lose skin, but I needed to lose 10lbs anyway, so I set a date and will put in my deposit next week, I'm so anxious, but my surgery will be 11/25/15 and I can't wait. I think I am going to like my results. I'll post pics soon.
