Exactly two months ago, I had upper and lower blepharoplasty with Dr. Mesna. I couldn't be happier with my results!! I am absolutely thrilled each morning when I look in the mirror and see fresher, wider, smoother eyes! I look happier, as a result of the surgery. Dr. Mesna is truly gifted. You can imagine, I was really nervous about the surgery, and unsure about doing both the upper AND lower at the same time. It felt like it would be too much at once, and I was so fearful of a less than optimal outcome...(reading all the Realself forum postings wasn't helping) Dr. Mesna's manner in answering my seemingly endless questions over the course of a few months was exceedingly patient, kind, concerned, and giving. He guided me to make my own decisions, and lessened my fears such that I felt extremely comfortable heading into surgery. On the morning of the surgery, I was greeted by the most comforting and supportive staff. ABSOLUTELY everyone had reassuring words about what an excellent surgeon Dr. Mesna was, and this made me feel even better as I changed into my gown. The anesthesiologist spoke to me at length about my medical history, and experience with surgery which made me feel most comfortable that I was in very good hands. The post op was pretty straight forward. I rested and relaxed at home for about 5 days. I ventured out on the 6th day, for dinner at my mother in law's home, and she couldn't quite tell what was different about me! This was just 6 days after the surgery! Now, 2 months later, the swelling seems completely finished, my eyes are symmetrical (a concern of mine) and I look FANTASTIC! And, I had some tummy lipo at the same.... This is a procedure that I would highly recommend! The results are great. For me, it's given me the impetus to work out more religiously, without skipping, and to eat healthier (and less) because those results on my belly are easier to see. To close, I would highly recommend Dr. Mesna as your surgeon. I would trust him with ANYTHING because of the excellent experiences I've had with him.
