Dr. Yousif has magic hands! I tried to cover my double chin for years. Makeup, scarves and posing with my head tilted up in pictures, you know the drill. I was so frustrated. I even bought one of those neck exercisers. But I wanted something permanent and I knew I wanted someone I could trust. From the moment I went into the Sier Spa in Mequon, WI I was comfortable. Dr. Yousif is wonderful. It's been 4 days since surgery and the results are awesome. The hospital staff was spectacular and said great things about Dr. Yousif, that said a lot to me about the doctor he is. If you've been thinking about doing this, do it...and use Dr. Yousif. Yes it's embarrassing to put up pictures but they speak volumes so take a look!

Wow! Amazing results. I'd love to hear more about the healing process if you have time.

Hi bunnygirl! I think the key is to wear the compression garment day and night. It's not the most comfortable thing but I am convinced it helped minimize the swelling. On Day 2 I had tingling in my arms which was awkward and made it tough to sleep. By the next day it was gone. I never had to take a pain pill. It's more uncomfortable than painful. The first two days are the most difficult because you have the surgical wrapping and it's pretty tight. My swelling was the worst then. I was also on antibiotics for a week. I am eating really clean and no alcohol. I have another follow up tomorrow with the doctor and will then see if I can go to wearing the garment just at night. But I can honestly say I look and feel 10 years younger and about 20 pounds thinner. It's Day 7 and I still have green bruising but it's subsiding quickly. Hope this helps!

Thank you so much!! You really do look amazing! I can't wait to see how you look in a few months!

Did you have lipo or was it called something else? You look great! (I have same issue.)
February 15, 2016
Hi Pretty Poet - I had traditional chin liposuction using a PALS cannula (it's one that oscillates). I was under using general anesthetic. It's Day 12. I have a couple small lumps in my neck from scar tissue but the surgeon said they will soften and heal over time. I hope you have as good of an experience as I did!

You look AMAZING! what a difference that made! Not that you didn't look great before!

Hi lexigirl. Oh believe me I look much better now. I told my doctor he gave me my
Smile back. I feel like the real me now. I know that sounds odd but I really feel my outside matches the inside. Every day gets better. I'll post more pics soon.

Hi, you look amazing! Did you have liposuction or another type of surgery?
February 22, 2016
Hi ilereyes: I had traditional chin lipo using a PALS cannula (it oscillates). I did have general anesthetic. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Great results! What type of procedure was done exactly? I may have missed it. I'm considering lipoing my chin and hope for results like yours!
February 12, 2016
Hi Ladies! Thanks for all the support. So here's a little more information on my procedure. I had traditional liposuction of the chin using general anesthetic. I also learned the cannula my surgeon used was called PALS. It is an oscillating cannula. I looked a the before pictures he had and I don't even remember that sad person. I have three stiches one behind each ear and one under my chin. Healing on Day 8 is great! Just a bit more green bruising. I have to wear my compression garment for 3 more weeks. Not every minute, but I can tell you I will do everything to continue my great results. Let me know if I can supply any more info. I know it's a big decision, but in my opinion if it bothers you as much as my double chin bothered me it's worth every penny!

Aww. You are so sweet. My 18 year old son said, "mom you look younger!". And I said, "No you cannot borrow my car." :) But I do feel so much better about myself, and that's what really counts.

I am posting a new picture at Day 16 Post-Op. Every day I feel grateful I made the decision. And the area where the fat was removed should not come back. That's just one more benefit of traditional lipo! If my story helps someone then it's worth sharing the "uglies".

Finally wearing a little makeup! Don't have to wear the chin strap all day anymore. Still try to be faithful with it as much as I can, as I want to maintain the results. For me the surgery was an investment in myself.

I was wondering what your age is your results look great

Hi Texaschinadoll: I am 46 years old. I'll turn 47 this December. And thank you for the nice comments.

Looks great. What was the cost?
February 25, 2016
Hello bjpg28: I paid $3500 that included the hospital fees, the surgeon fees and the anesthetic. Well worth every penny in my opinion. Let me know if you have any other questions. Best wishes to you.

Hi Susitv you look great!! I am 14 days post chin lipo and I'm So discouraged. The 7th day when I took off my chin strap it was a miracle, no more "fat pad" ,it was gone. Now it's back and I am faithfully wearing that horrible strap on day 14. Do you have a picture of your profile before and after. I was wondering what type of lipo you had, I had laser. I will have to post my pictures. I just can't figure out how to cover my eyes on the pic in order to post. It's a big secret from my family and friends. Lol
You really look amazing!!

Hi Camb123: Hang in there. The swelling can last some time. When you go to see the doctor make sure you don't have any fluid or lumps in the space between your skin and the muscle. I wore my compression garment/strap for two weeks straight - all day and night. It's ugly and not the most comfortable but I was committed. Then as much as I could for the following two weeks. I was faithful with it because I wanted to protect my investment. I had traditional lipo with a PALS cannula (an oscillating one). My before picture is the one on the furthest left. All remaining pics are after at different stages. The healing takes some time. I'll bet it will be ok. It does feel like a miracle when it's gone. I can zip up my higher neck sweatshirts with no problem which feels great! People will just notice how awesome you look, and they may say you look younger.

Thanks for the reply. I actually called the Dr. about an hour ago and told him my concerns. He believes it's just swelling and to be patient. I don't have any fluid or lumps but it does feel tight. I follow up with them next week which will be three weeks post-op. I know I have to be patient but when you invest that much money, my lipo costs the same as yours, you want instant results!! I instantly thought I would look like it was 30 again!! Lol Wishful thinking. We are actually the same age.
Again you look great. Definitely looking like in your 30's now. :)

It's coming. I just posted a pic now that I am 64 days post op. I know how hard it is to wait, but it's sooo worth it. I also had tightness. Mainly right after. And the compression garment I think keeps it tight too. Once I didn't have to wear it so much it eased up. It gets better over time you'll see. I wish my stomach looked as good as my neck. :)

Hey Susietv, you literally have picture perfect results. Would you be able to post close up pictures of the lumps you are talking about? I would like to see how they compare to mine. Had I known about PAL cannulas, I likely would have went that route vs smartlipo as my doctor told me I had very fibrous tissue and my doc said it was the most fibrous he has ever had to deal with. My chin/neck fat was very similar to yours and hereditary. My neck fat was very prominent under my chin and also along my jaw lines. Either way, my smart lipo procedure went well except that I notice an indentation on my neck below my chin and a lump that lays directly across from under my chin. I am hoping this will heal away or lessen as well since I am only at day 10 post op. My doc, reviews I've read and my lymphatic massage specialist all tell me that it takes 2-3 months for results so I am trying to be patient and optimistic. I'm not sure if that was either a section of too much fat that was taken out, scar tissue or swelling or a mixture of each but I am leaning towards too much fat taken out as I was able to see the indentation immediately after the surgery. I am still seeing swelling under my ears where the cannula went through as that seems to be taking a long time to subside. They took about 250 cc of fat just from under my chin & neck. Very high in comparison to norms (25-150 I believe) plus I was very fibrous. 35 yr/male here.

Hi njzbest80: Well thank you for the comments. I have one indentation around the middle of my neck, sounds just like yours. No one else notices but I know just what you're talking about. I personally think part of it is age and skin being not as resilient and because it is centered maybe more fat was sucked out there. All other lumps are now gone. I initially had one about the size of a ping pong ball mid neck. It dissipated and was noticeably smaller around 30 days out. I did massage it slowly and gently. My doctor told me the skin recalibrates post surgery and can absorb some of the scar tissue which it did. Just keep in mind I am now about 70 days post-op. In other words you'll look better and better over time; smoother and any incision marks will fade (I had three one behind each ear and one under my chin). I have one little stich mark under my chin. Compared to where I started I am reminded how much better I look and I have no regrets. With my age (46) I am thankful that I didn't need a full neck lift to achieve solid results. I don't know as much about smart lipo. I also think surgeons have their own preferred cannulas and techniques. I can say your results will improve over time. Surgery causes trauma to the nerves and skin. And the compression helps the skin reattach to the muscle. I know it's hard not to panic. Just keep your follow up appointments, stick with the docs instructions. Wear the compression as much as you can. Here to help ease your mind, as I was there too.
April 12, 2016
Thanks Susie that really did ease my mind a bit so I'll definitely try to be patient and I'll address my concerns with my doc in my follow up in 10 days... And again, you have one of the best results I've seen (no kidding). Compliments to the chef!

It took over 3 months for my bands etc to disappear, I think it varies and isn't that normal. Give it time, I massage daily with bio-oil.
