I've struggled with my weight for years and have maintained a body weight of 170 pounds. Most of my weight is carried in my hips and thighs :( I had 2 miscarriages within 6 months and I found myself in a deep depression for a couple of months. Food became my best friend. Before I knew it, I had gained 25 pounds!! I tried everything to lose the weight but nothing really worked. I would lose 5-10 pounds and then I would give up. I ran across this website and after reading all of the reviews I decided to go for a consultation for Smart Lipo also known as Aqua Lipo. The consultation was free and I was assured that I would have great results. I made the decision to have my upper and lower abs, bra roll, flanks and inner thighs treated. On October 1, 2015 I walked in nervous and excited! Everyone in the office were very nice and professional. They explained everything in detail and we're able to answer all of my questions. The first thing they did, of course, was take before pictures. Next I was given an IM injection of Demerol, 1 Phenergan and 2 Valium. After I was calm and relaxed the nurse injected me with Lidocaine in the areas I was treating and then made tiny incisions with a scalpel. Soon after, the Dr. walked in and began "filling" the treated areas with lidocaine so I will be nice and numb. 20 minutes later the procedure began. It was completely pain free! I only felt a little pressure as he was moving the cannula back and forth. I would occasionally feel a slight burning sensation as he got closer to my ribs but it was very tolerable. The procedure lasted about 2 hours and the physician removed 7 liters of fat ;) Unfortunately, I have to wait 72 hours to get my thighs done due to the amount of fluid that had already been removed. Once he was done the nurse wrapped me up and assisted me in getting on my compression garment. The garment is very comfortable contrary to most of the reviews that I have read. Once I made it home I was still pain free. I was able to walk around my house for 30 minutes and even cook lunch. When the lidocaine wore off about 4 hours later I began feeling the pain. I would rate the pain about a 6 on a 0-10 pain scale. Moving made it worse and if I laid very still I didn't feel any pain. 8 hours after my procedure I had to change my dressings which were saturated with serosanguineous fluid. As soon as I removed the compression garment I began to get very lightheaded and sick to my stomach. Thank goodness my husband was there to help me! The worst part of day 1 post op was the soreness. It was very hard to get in and out of bed. It was also very difficult to get in and out of my car. I will post pics of Post op day 2. I hope this was helpful!
