I had a tragic post pregnancy experience where my c- section constantly got infected. I will be seeing Dr. William Hickerson in Memphis,TN for my panniculectomy procedure. I have had a previous tummy tuck and hernia repair done by him but my Jp drains got infected and left me the pictures you see here.

I'm so very sorry to learn of all you've been through. Surgical complications can be just brutal and it seems as if you've really been "through it".

I wanted to express support and encouragement for you. Please, do everything your surgeon advises and be so very very patient with yourself.

I'll be praying for a completely positive experience for you this time around. It seems you'll surely feel better.

I'm just at 9 weeks post abdominoplasty, where my drain failed. No infection but dealing with the Seroma and aspirations has been a total drag. So, just k ow you're by no means alone. I look forward with great anticipation to reading about your upcoming procedure; and FABULOUS results.

Wishing you the very very best!

Kelly

Thank you so much for your well wishes

Did you ever have the surgery? Also, you should consider seeking an attorney, since your c section ended in a infection. Maybe, your on/gyn will be compassionate enough to cover the surgery expenses.

No attorney will take my case ... no I haven't had the surgery at all I've given up honestly

I saw your post about being approved for surgery but saw here you haven't had it done yet. May I ask what happened

My surgery will be June 29,2016. I am so nervous and afraid, not about the surgery but the healing process. My pre-op appointment is June 21,2016. I will get blood work done and run some tests to see if I am healthy enough to go school surgery

Good luck! My c section somehow became infected while I was in the hospital too. The couldn't figure out why I kept running a fever at first. They ended letting my incision heal from the inside out with no staples or stitches and used what was then some type of experimental dressing on it from the burn hospital. It was like a second skin and worked really well. I tell that story because I've never heard of anyone else getting a wound infection from a csection before you. I was in the hospital for two weeks and I think I totally pushed it out of my mind because I had completely forgotten about that experience until I just read your post. Did you have a tummy tuck before or after your pregnancy?

Oh no. I'm so sorry. Is that the final word or is there a possibility that something may change?

Oh okay. I've gone to the gym regularly for a few years, but I just took my very first Zumba class last week (I usually do spin, elliptical, etc) and it's really fun. I didn't think that it would be as much of a workout as it is. It's burns a lot of calories and some ladies in my class said that they lost a lot of weight within a few months just doing Zumba. If you haven't tried that, give it a try. Even if you just buy a dvd or find some videos on YouTube. Going to the gym had become boring and a chore for me, so that's why I switched it up and now I look forward to going again. I'm praying for you doll. It will all work out in the end.

I'm sorry to hear that. Is it the insurance company that's requiring you to lose the weight or the Surgeon? I'm sure everything will work out. Just keep trying and do what you have to do...
