WORTH IT
I am really nervous and apprehensive about having this procedure and I'm only days from having it. I'm also having some coral in the orbital rim. But it's too late to turn back now cause everything is paid for. My surgeon is Dr Bryan Mendelson in Melbourne. I'm staying in a motel for three weeks on my own and staying two nights, or maybe three in the hospital cause I don't have anyone to escort me from hospital. Has anyone gone through this procedure alone? Has anyone had any procedures with Dr Mendelson.

Well I had my second consult with Dr Bryan this morning and l feel much better and reassured about the procedure after speaking with him. This really is a journey not only emotional but logisically arriving at this point takes courage.

Feeling much better after my consult with Dr Mendelsen today. He was very reassuring and he is very patient orientated as is his team. I even got a free copy of the book, In Your Face, from Jennifer the patient advisor. They are even organising a former patient to get in touch to offer support and just someone to talk to that already has been through the experience. How good is that.

It's been a week now after surgery.
Most of my stitches are removed and I've had a hairdresserwash my hair, the heal lights and ultrasounds to help with the swelling. I don't think there is any other surgeon that gives this type of treatment after surgery.
I find that rest and eating well are beneficial to good healing as Dr Mendelsen mentions in his Healing Notes. I'm not taking any pain killers or sleeping pills and haven't for several days cause I didn't need them.
I'm very happy with the result so far.

You look great and years younger! I'm in country Victoria so I'm interested that you had it done in Melbourne. How much did it cost if you don't mind me asking?

Hi
Thank you.
It cost me a little over $32.000. That's all costs included and after care. I couldn't afford the proper amount which is thousands more but there's options for cheaper price. I had a surgeon from overseas sitting in on the surgery watching Dr Mendelson's technique.

Hi Tidda, you are looking very youthful and so amazing for being only 8 days post op. How have you been coping by yourself and how have you been keeping yourself occupied? I am looking at having a facelift by Dr Mendelson in the next 6 to 12 months. I will be travelling by myself also from NSW. I hope you are doing well xx

Hi Hothammie
I am doing really well. I mainly rest other then going out to buy food. I made friends with another lady thats had a facelift. She stays at the same motel. Rest promotes the healing and each day you notice a change. Good luck . It is worth it.xx
