Hi, just wanted to share my experience with dr perry burstin in south Yarra. Went to him not long ago for rhinoplasty consultation, him and his staff were completely disorganised, my gut feelings were telling me this was a waste of time. Finally got in there, told him what I wish which I don't think is a big expectation - smaller my nose in the shape it is and remove the bump. He looked at me and said 'this is really difficult, I don't think it is right for you' and tried to sell me a button nose!!! After that, he said my face was 'kind of sways' and suggested I should add a chin implant to correct it. Also told me to speak with my husband about it as 'I'm sure he wants a nice looking wife'
I'm sorry, you are a ENT! You have no accreditation to even suggest such a thing! I am not a bad looking girl, just want to correct my nose from when I broke it many years ago. This guy is an absolute idiot of a person, his consultation has scarred me!
Has anyone else experienced this with him???

Yes, he is not good with it comes to aesthetics. He didn't really do what I asked. Literally plays with your life by giving you the nose he wants and not what you want.

I had a rather weird consultation with Perry Burstin also. I was kept waiting about 40 mins... sure fine no worries. I was told by my dentist that there is a long waiting list to see him (Dr Burstin). I get in there and he proceeds to ramble on and on...(I have a deviated septum). At one point in the conversation he said "if you were swimming in a river, against the current, coping but not drowning, I'd be inclined to leave you there. But if you were drowning, I'd jump in to save you" (words to that effect). wtf!? I've never had the impression that a doctor I was seeing was, pretty weird, and never left an appointment thinking "I'm never going back there". I felt like he just rambled on and on to justify the consultation fee and could have said what he needed to in 10 minutes. No surprises why there is a waiting list. Needless to say I'm looking for a new ENT.

He told me I had "thick skin" and would get a poor cosmetic result, when I needed a congenital deviation of my septum fixed!! 2hr surgery ended up being nearly 6. My nose collapsed within six months and I had what was called a saddle deformity with major (never healed) nerve damage to my cheek and smile (still deformed). I had to have massive (9hr surgery) to fix his mess. Mr Burstin is a butcher!
