WORTH IT$8,700
I lost over 100 lbs after having six children and was left with sagging skin around my abdomen. Fortunately my thighs, arms, back, etc. are all ok. I opted to have an extended abdominoplasty with monsplasty. This allowed the surgeon to address and remove skin and fat above and below the belly button.

Follow-up visit 2

I had a follow up One week post op. My incisions look good and clean without irritation. I have two drains - one is draining 50-60 ml per 24 hours (left drain) and the other is draining less than 5 ml. (Right drain) In spite of the low number I was h able to convince them to remove one of them this early. It was a bummer and I truly despise these things but I completely understand.

Day 10 post op

Since I overdid things on Tuesday, I've been pretty stationary the last 48 hours. Sitting and doing virtually nothing is very hard for me but I manage. I have been measuring my 24 hour drain input each morning because the sooner these things come out the better. I am down to 30cc this morning for the last 24 hours. One drain was 5cc and the other was 25cc. My incisions are itchy where they are scabbed over so that is annoying but not unbearable. I coughed yesterday and while it was sore it was not debilitating like it has been in the past so I'm counting that as a good sign.
Congratulations on your weight loss. This is a hard thing to do but you did it and should be very proud. How are you feeling today?
You need to kick it down a few notches for a while. The first 6 weeks post op are very critical in the healing process. Sit down, kick those feet up and stay on top of the pain meds. The drains are very annoying to say the least. Drink plenty of water to stay hydrated as well.
