Post-op review

Hello dolls,
I had my surgery on Aug 14, 2018 & it went very well. I had a lot happen within the first 5 days following surge that did not allow me to wear my garment or stay off my butt. Dr. Dowbak was wonderful, and even with my set back, I am more than happy with my results sofar.

"Hi,

I’ve been a member of this site for years, lurking, reading, stalking lol.
I am 46 soon to be 47 mother of 3, Grandmother of 3 and after much research and years of waiting I finally decided this was the right time to get my breasts augmented. I am hoping to get my procedure done May 2018 either 2 weeks before my birthday or 2 weeks after.
Over the years, I’ve had a few consultations with plastic surgeons but either I didn’t have the money or the time wasn’t right to do it so it never happened.
I initially contacted Dr. Michael Diaz’s office via email on Feb 8 requesting a consultation and I had not received a response that day or the next day (Fri). On Mon Feb 12, I called the office and left a message for Toni who is the patient coordinator and she responded within the hour. We had a brief chat and she explained that sometimes emails get buried and due to her work load she might miss one or two. I can completely understand that, she was very informative and sweet. She was able to get me in for a consultation on Feb 14. I have emailed Dr. Diaz's office several times after my consultation and the response times have been very quick and Toni answered questions thoroughly and addressed my concerns in detail.
When I reached the Dr.’s office building, the first thing I noticed was it did not look like your typical Dr.s office. It looked like a home, for some reason that put me at ease a little, I’m not sure why, but maybe subconsciously I don’t want the whole world to know I’m getting/thinking of getting plastic surgery.
I walked in and I felt like I stepped into someone’s living room. It was beautifully decorated, it wasn’t sterile, and it was very homey with couches, lots of great smelling aroma. I signed in and the young ladies at the receptionist desk were very friendly and funny. My appt. was at 4, I got there a little early because I wasn’t sure where I was going, I had to wait a few minutes; but not long after 4 Dr. Diaz was ready for me.
In his office upstairs, Dr. Diaz was very professional, warm, welcoming all at the same time. He answered all the questions that I thought of writing down, he didn’t rush me, he was very patient and explained about the BA process from start to finish.
I tried the sizers and Dr. Diaz recommend the Silicone implants and I couldn’t decide on the size, I said large C small D. I just basically told him I don’t want to be too big and look ridiculous, he spent about 30-45mins with me. During the consultation I let him know that I am on high blood pressure meds and he asked for my Dr.s information so he can contact her to see if she feels my body will be able to handle the 2hr surgery.
All in all, I felt very at ease with Dr. Diaz, and I trust that he will do right by me.
He has an operating center right there on premises which I plan on seeing once I get the all clear from my PCP and go in for my pre-op. Oh, and you have to have a mammogram that was done no more than 1yr prior.
After my consult with Dr. Diaz, I met with Toni (patient coordinator) to discuss details, so the price quoted to me for Silicone implants was $7,250. This may seem a little expensive to a lot of people because other areas in FL are quoting $4,000 or less but I trust Dr. Diaz so I will pay it not only because I am comfortable with him, but also I am paying for the convenience of having the surgery done in my home town. So no hotel room expense, I can just go home.
Toni, went over a lot of things with me and I left feeling as if all the bases were covered, the only thing left was to get financing. Dr. Diaz’s office accepts Care Credit and Alphaeon credit. I previously applied for Care Credit and was denied, I begrudgingly applied for Alphaeon and surprise, surprise I was approved. So maybe it was written in the stars that now is the right time and Dr. Diaz is the right Dr.
Since my consultation I did some research on Silicone implants and realized that there is just too much maintenance and expense that is recommended for precautionary measures and I don’t want to deal with that. I emailed Toni and told her I decided to go with Saline and my new quote is $6255.
I will post before pics as soon as I am booked.
I am sorry about this long post, but I just wanted to be as thorough as possible. I get my mammogram done on Mar 24, and see my Dr. about my blood pressure on Mar 27. If all goes well, I will be scheduling my surgery soon after."
