4 weeks!

Hello! Just a quick update to say that I'm 4 weeks today yippee! So far so good! I'm really happy with the size! I still fit into my regular clothes but even better I love the way I look naked or when in a bra. I'm a 32C but can still fit into a smal/medium bralette. The low profile has meant that it's less noticeable to others and I feel they don't get in the way. My goal was to add volume and that is exactly what I have achieved. I'm hitting the Pilates reformer pretty hard as I'm feeling great. Mainly lower body but have started to incorporate arms which is great! Ran for 10 mins on the treadmill and feels a little heavy on my left breast so just taking it easy. I have taken up spin on the bike and this has been great for cardio. I'm pretty much back to normal and can wear bralettes during the day and no bra at night and sleeping fully on my side without any discomfort. Surgeon said I will be able to resume normal activities at the 2 week mark yay. One thing I have noticed is that for a few weeks my right breast was feeling right and sensitive and now it's my left one that feels this way and my right breast is fine. They seem to take turns feeling tight/sensitive. I think it's pretty normal as they both adjust at a different pace!

Post op day 4

post op day 4 and feeling much better! I was prescribed some medication for the nausea which helped a load! It was terrible trying to look after the kids whilst in a groggy, nauseated state! Yesterday and the day before were the worst for me! Take out the nausea and I would have been fine. Pain is a good 1 or 2 more just discomfort. I prefer the support bra on and when I'm showering naturally hold them up but I think this is normal to want support for a while! Arm movements are good and I even went for a 35 min walk this morning and had a massage. I just laid on my back and asked them to focus on legs and arms. I'm hoping the lymphatic drainage will help with bloating but I must say even that is getting a little better - definitely at its worse yesterday and felt tight and pregnant! Not fun! I also had a wash and blow dry today since hubby had the kids and I managed to have a few hours off! Must say I felt much better getting some much needed pampering! Everyday they are getting softer and I feel they are naturally conforming and filling out my sports bra now. Initially I was worried they were too small but now I'm 110% happy with the size as they become less swallow and take on more of a natural shape. The initial swallen look does make them appear smaller I think? Relieved I didn't go bigger! It would have been too much of a change/obstruction for me. Kids have been great and will hold off from any lifting for the next week or so. I accidentally lifted my baby into our sedan and it didn't hurt but I have to remember to not do any damage so will remain restricted for another couple of weeks. Looking forward to going back to exercise soon! I got a brochure on barre Pilates and thought this might be good for lower body in the interim? Any feedback? Here's a pic of a Bralette I couldn't resist on buying for later! They still look huge but I think they will settle into a nice size eventually!

You look great! Curious to know what you eventually told your kids? I'm in the same predicament. Can't decide if I should tell them I just have a bad cold or fell and hurt my ribs…?

I told them I hurt my back. Seems to be the best excuse because I can't pick them up and it ensures they don't jump on me. By today (day 4) I was able to do more and can hug them and play more on the ground with them but I keep reminding them that my back is sore. They've been great! They know when you're not well! Good luck!

Nausea is a bummer!

post op day 1 nearly coming to an end. Surprisingly it's been quite manageable - just the nausea is a pain! I had a wave of nausea around 10.30 and went to bed and dozed afterwards and felt better and then again around 4pm. It makes me feel so tired and off I hate this feeling. I'm completely off food and feel like I just need to go to bed and sleep it off.

As for pain - about a 4 today. I showered and it was nice but happy to put the bra back on afterwards. I feel more slightly bruised around ribs and trying to remember to take deep breaths every so often.

Looking forward to another day of recovery. Am really happy with the size and think they will settle well. I will take pics tomorrow - I keep forgetting when I'm undressed sorry!

If anyone has any tips for nausea pls share or if they can tell me when it subsided? Currently taking meds with a glass of milk, drinking flat ginger ale and fruit tingles seem to be helping out!

I have 350 overs I got 14 months ago. I love them! I'm an active single mom, gym goer and had a bit of a deflation from breastfeeding my son. At first, I was panicked at the dr's suggestion bc most seem to be unders. I went with my surgeon's advice (he has over 29 yrs of experience) and I LOVE my results! Most mom friends don't realize I had work done unless I tell them which I love. I used to always wear the VS Bombshell so I had the appearance of boobs before over clothes! Lol! I did NOT do it for attention; I did it for me. I love that I can use a push up and show them if I want or keep them more under cover when I'm working out or at my child's school or sports. Mine def settled and I'm told they fit my body proportionately and look very natural. Best of luck to you, sweetie! Happy healing and remember to keep up with the daily moving of the implants. I was told that will be a daily thing forever to keep the pockets from forming scar tissue around the implant. I have a couple friends who got overs more than ten years ago and still love theirs too! Feel free to check out my profile to Serbia mine evolved as they healed or message me if you have any questions! Xo

What size did you end up choosing?
MF

Hello! I ended up choosing 285 low profile overs. I just wanted something subtle and I think the size is perfect on me. Thanks for all your advice - your story had really helped me and im happy I didn't go any bigger for my frame because it would have been too noticeable. They still feel rock hard so looking forward to when they soften up a bit. How long did it take before you noticed some real change? Recovery has been ok. I got some meds to control the nausea yesterday which has been such a relief. I couldn't keep anything down!
