Labiaplasty

At 25 years old labiaplasty has been an operation on my mind for years and with my partner still away I saw this as the right time to finally go ahead with surgery. After weeks of online research I initially consulted and paid a deposit with a dr who came up lots on google etc I backed out at the last minute with no reviews of him and very few before n afters to show- and truthfully I had a gut feeling so I went back to check more reviews ect and came across Dr Jane Paterson. I went for my consult with Jane and knew straight away she was the surgeon I had to have! She was great showing me plenty of before and after pics going over every detail and showing me exactly what she was going to perform on me using a photo and a marker ( this type of surgery for me was so hard as it's impossible to find photos of the same anatomy as another to vision how you will look! I booked in for the following week to have surgery and today is my first day out of hospital ( I ended up spending two nights due to dizziness and no one to help me around at home) so far I'm bruised and swollen and I can't say about my results as it takes around 6-8 weeks for everything to settle down but so far so good! I couldn't be happier with Dr Paterson her professionalism throughout has been amazing after surgery she visited the following morning and phoned and made sure everything was ok this morning too. I have my 6 day post op on Tuesday and will update my review with before n after pics for this. I really hope this helps anyone considering labiaplasty in melbourne as I found it so hard to chose a surgeon, know what to expect, how to pre op plan etc - it's a surgery not really openly spoken about! Day 4 and the pain is pretty intense! Ice packs and pain killers are my life savers at the moment! I have seen other reviews talking about the 'Frankenstein' stage and I'm defiantly feeling that today. Salt baths are helping aid some comfort! Swelling and bruising is pretty bad I hope it starts looking better soon!

I forgot to add a day after surgery I had a stitch come out but my surgeon reassured me that it's pretty common and nothing to be worried about. My biggest regret so far is not starting Metamucil pre op!! This is a must!
