Nine weeks and going good.

WORTH IT$8,000
Can't believe today is my nine weeks mark. I'm feeling good, still a little numb and a little tight at times. I started back at the gym two weeks ago, but haven't gotten into a routine at school yet. Oh my goodness though, my hamstrings were so tight. This was making my back sore, but definitely related to the Ty as i couldn't stretch or strengthen my abs or glutes. For the most part I don't think about my tummy now.

On am interesting note, I ran into a teacher who was a colleague once and my daughter's teacher last year. She said I looked good and when I said I'd had a tummy tuck, she said she'd had one eight years ago. Only problem for her was that she'd stacked on 10kg!

My gym assessor who is also her assessor snorted later and said that my colleague had stacked on the weight because over the holidays she'd been drinking 1-2 bottles of wine a day! There's a lesson in that girls!

I've added some pics. The ripples have gone as my stitches dissolved. My only concern is that my scar line is definitely higher on my right hip and my hips look uneven as a result

6 weeks post op

I'm going to have to drop down to writing once a week or less. Monday was my six week mark and I'm feeling pretty good. School started for me yesterday and the kids return tomorrow so I will be pretty busy. It's also good because life goes on, and my recovery is no longer my top priority.

Hubby and I managed to get back into the swing of things in the bedroom last week when the kids had a sleepover at Nana's. I was fine but the numbness of the tummy will be something I need to adjust to.

I'm also having quite bad backaches particularly at the end of the day or if I've been standing too long. I have worked out the tight hamstrings can cause this by pulling on the pelvis and also by having a weaker core. I desperately need to get to the gym, I just don't seem to have any time at the moment....

Life seems so much more normal when schools back for me. Your going to be soo busy now there will be whole hrs when you will forget about your tummy lol
I know! Nobody at work has noticed a thing and I didn't let them know I was getting a tummy tuck. I do notice a bit more now when I go to put some of my clothes on from last year and they are somewhat too roomy!
Now thats gotta be a fantastic feeling!
You look great! I can't believe how some amazing women go back to work so soon. Thinking of you in the heat we're having in Australia, are you still wearing your CG?

Bathers pic - finally!

Hubby took this photo yesterday. I don't think it's a flattering photo, but then it is so much better than what it would have been!

Wow u look fab yes things are getting better I can see . Great to know you had fun well deserved vacations , just take more rest schools are starting u need rest . Missed you lol it's just 1 month left less than that infact will bother you soon . Happy healing x
So you walking normal and diving n all like how functional are you , can u cook or dress your kids if you have to ???
Totally functional - :-) I'm aware that I've lost overall muscle strength and stamina from not going to the gym, but will be getting back to the gym in the next week or so and building up slowly again.
You think if I get breast lift will that make much diffrence in healing time ??
Your healing time might be more intense initially but I don't know about length of time. Definitely a question to put to Howard.
An addition to the previous comment - it's the muscle repair that takes the longest to recover from for the tummy tuck. I don't think breast lifts have the same internal repair and recovery as predominantly it is skin and outer incision healing (and some bruising).
Thank you darling for all your time and reply
Look at you and your flat tum!
