I just wasn't ready to look my age, and after researching Botox and fillers, decided I couldn't face the regular visits or the discomfort - I wanted a one off low maintenance solution, so I chose the surgical route. I interviewed surgeons in Thailand but I wasn't convinced they would really make me look the way I wanted, even if they were US board certified and made all the right claims. I decided you get what you pay for - especially when it's your face you're messing with! So I went to the best in Melbourne and boy, am I over the moon with the result. Not one of my friends could be sure whether or not I'd had surgery - they were just amazed at how great I was looking. The procedure caused some discomfort and bruising which took 3 weeks to resolve, but I attended a work meeting in camouflage make up on the 9th day after surgery with no problems. I had fat injected into my cheeks to fix the sagging that had occurred when I lost a lot of weight 3 years ago - I now have no unsightly jowls, my neck is majorly improved, and my facial skin overall looks smooth and natural, with minimal lines. I like the fact that I kept my brow lines this time around, so I don't have that telltale lineless look. Once I had decided to go ahead, I was able to book in immediately, and the whole team delivered excellent customer service at every stage. I plan to go back for a second maintenance surgery in around 8 years time.
