One Week Post Op and I Am Just So HAPPY!

Just shy of six months post op after having Dr Ricketts perform Rhinoplasty. I have gotten quite a few messages asking for updated photos so here they are. I hope they are of some help in making your decision easier and alleviating any hesitation or nerve you may have. From my own personal experience my operation is one of the best things I've ever done. I feel more confident, more attractive and more like ME! 6 months on and... - 90% normal breathing back - swelling is completely reduced - tip is still slightly sensitive but not much - internal nostrils are still slightly swollen (particularly noticeable in cold, windy weather).

Just over one week post op after having Open Septorhinoplasty performed by Dr Sophie Ricketts and couldn't be happier with how things are coming along. Dr Ricketts and her team at ARC have been meticulous in their level of both efficiency and customer care. From my initial consult Sophie was very honest about what we could hope to achieve. Having done lots of research I knew I'd never have a small nose and Sophie explained (in terms non medical practitioners can understand) as to why this is. It's not a process of picking your dream nose out of a catalogue, but rather looking at what suits your facial features, shape, structure, skin type and overall look. I was extremely lucky in that I only waited a week from consult to operation. This is extremely rare however and only happened due to some amazing scheduling by the wonderful Michelle who you will no doubt meet. The surgery lasted for approximately 4 hours and I woke up from the anaesthetic very lucid and with no issues. Recovery over the next week had tedious moments (the before bed ritual of applying layer upon layer of Vaseline to your lips- if you're a mouth breather I'm sorry but you're in for a rough few nights). As a complete credit to Sophie and her team I was very lucky to have minimal to no bruising. What I did have went yellow straight away (Arnica Cream- best $5 you'll spend!) and the swelling whilst still tender has visibly reduced. I am now one week post op and can already see massive changes. My hump is significantly reduced, my tip was repositioned and as the swelling goes down I will gain more refinement in both areas. I can't wait to see the final results as the months pass. If you've spent your life lamenting a big/wonky/crooked/humpy nose and are contemplating surgery I would definitely recommend Dr Ricketts. Not only is her work exceptional but her team at ARC will make you feel comfortable, important and super special. Can't recommend enough!
