I'm going to start taking photos daily (or maybe a couple of times a week) to see what happens over the long term.

I started on .025% tretinoin for a while and that seemed to go well, although, putting it in the corner makes things worse. Once that tube ran out I started on .1%. I think this product works better on outer fine lines but I want to track it over time because I'm not sure. I want proof, I guess.

it looks like you have really beautiful skin and shouldn't be using Retin A! One of the biggest regrets of my life was trying this stuff for fine lines a few months ago. It brought on enlarged pores, "orange peel" texture and scarring - these are issues that will take months if not years to resolve. It looks like you've already used the 0.025% (the stuff that ruined my face) so if it works for you, that's great. But just a warning not to go crazy with the stuff

Actually my skin already has enlarged pores, but I can't get my phone camera to take a decent high res photo. My skin is quite bad. I have rosacea and rather large unsightly lines and already orange peel like texture. It's been that way for years. I'm hoping this stuff gets rid of some of the damaged skin (it's from a chemical burn and then accidental sun burning on two occasions since that over a period of several years).

The orange peel texture does resolve itself. It does also help to take supplements that promote collagen and support cell turnover.

If anyone ever has any concerns going in to Retin-a use I personally would suggest doing a test patch for 6 months first to avoid the "this stuff ruined my face" thing.

One should definitely not "go crazy with the stuff" as that will certainly lead to problems. Oftentimes people start using per the recommendations and think because they're not peeling or noticing any difference that they need to increase the strength or the frequency of application: DO. NOT. DO. THIS. EVER.

That's when there's bound to be issues.

I'm in my mid-late 40's, no one ever guesses my age right and I've been using Retin-a since I was 26.

I don't have before and after pics, but trust me that if you're skin tolerates this product it will work wonders.

My sister accuses me of having had an eye lift and has done for over 10 years lol (she's in her late 60's) but I never have, I've only had septo-rhinoplasty (2.5 years ago).

I took a break because the summer sun here is really intense but plan to resume soon. I might have been going a bit overboard with it... You can't really use it directly under your eyes - you have to let it migrate there from other areas indirectly. Thanks for the suggestions I will take it in mind.

Angie80a I'm in Melbourne, Australia too and I ease back on the Retin-a over the summer months and maybe only use once a week. Only once my skin has really adjusted I do use it near my eyes and on my eyelids but I never use it neat, I'll use it in those areas mixed with moisturiser or eye cream, but even with that I've read that it can make more readily absorbed by mixing it... anyways, despite what the literature and research says on Retin-a being used this way, it works for me so I'll keep doing it! haha!
