Having a Hard Time Getting Used Too. Melbourne, AU
1 week on
A week on and im feeling better about my decision by the day, last week i started my post as "not sure" if its worth it but now 100% it was worth it.
One of the most difficult things has been just remembering i now have a nice smile and to smile :)
So anyone thinking about getting this done i can recommend it even though its not all plain sailing. It takes time to get used to something new. Day by day im slowly getting used to the new me and i like it :)
I've always had teeth i was embarrassed about and...
So I've wanted to have this done since i was 15 (15 years ago).
I am getting married later in the year and my partner said 'well now is the time to do it" so with her blessing off i went.
Yesterday i had the vaneers fitted and to be honest im not sure how much i like them. I always had this thought that i would walk out with a smile i couldn't get rid off. Instead i feel a little strange. Like im not used to having nice teeth. Will they grow on me? I sure hope so.
Let me know what you all think. I'll put a before and after photo here.
I guess i just need some reassurance. My partner loves them im just not convinced yet.

Welcome to the community and thanks so much for offering your opinion of your doctor.
It would be great if you could give us a little more detail about your experience, like why you had the surgery, your tips for getting good results, pros/cons, and info on the recovery process.
As a community manager, I get requests all the time from other members who want me to to keep encouraging people to share their experiences, which are so helpful for others considering these procedures. So please accept this as a well-intentioned request from thousands.

Thanks for sharing your story. So you have your temporary veneers on now?

I understand. It must be really strange. I think a lot of people struggle with how "perfect" they look when they first get them. For what it's worth, I think they look great!
Plus when you have waited 15 years to have something done and when it finnaly happens its kind of a sureal feeling.
Thanks for your positive vibes
