I have been watching this space for quite a while, before I decided to go ahead and book myself in for a Permanent Cosmetic Tattoo of the upper and lower eye line and a lip blend. After a fair bit of searching I have found Andrea Darby Cosmetic Tattooist in Melbourne Bayside area. She had a very impressive webpage with lots of experience, she is also a Master International Lecturer. I rang her and she was very nice explained everything to me and also sent me an e-mail outlining the procedures and FAQ. Reading all the reviews made me quite worried about pain. I told Andrea and she said she will be putting plenty of numbing gel on and to take 2 Panadol's half an hour before my appointment. (I also took a half a Valium to relax me too, as I am a bit of a chicken when it comes to pain. Mind you I had 3 kids, but that was different).
When I arrived for my appointment Andrea had a chat with me, showed me what she is going to do, showed me lots of photos and straight away I was sold by her friendliness, obvious knowledge and professionalism. She has put the numbing gel on, then got everything ready, by that time the gel worked wonders. I really didn't feel any pain while she was doing my eye, maybe a bit of a scratchy feeling as she was keep putting the numbing gel on. We were chatting all the way, I hardly noticed the time. After that she did my lip, again lots of numbing gel, couldn't feel anything. When she got to the middle of my top lip (you know where the V shape is) she said some people say that this is a bit painful, but she will try to be quick. She was right, it was a bit painful, but before I could say Ouch, she was finished.
As it was expected my eyes and lips were slightly swollen, but they went down very quickly. Really, I was the only one who noticed them.
I am very happy with the result, even though it is not finished yet. I am going back for my second appointment for the Perfecting session this Friday the 8th May'15. Both the Eyeliner and the Lip liner have faded, but that was expected, so I am looking forward to Friday's result!!

I also have had my eyebrows, eyeliner and lips done by Andrea and I cannot recommend her enough. Her work is fantastic, my eyebrows look so natural, I have seen so many bad eyebrows so was very concerned about getting them done, but I have had so many compliments, guess the results really speak for themselves.

Eye line tattoo

My eye line tattoo top and bottom was done last year, but I felt that I needed it to be darker and thought if I go back again while they are still on and get Andrea to re-do them, they might stay on longer. I had my appointment with her 5 days ago, and I am glad that I went as they seem to be much darker now then they were last year. Hardly any flaked off this time, so I am crossing my fingers that they will stay darker longer. I love my sessions with Andrea, we talk non stop all through the procedures, she is just such a nice person and so easy to talk to. I am not that keen on the actual tattooing as they do hurt, but Andrea is very good at keep putting numbing cream on it. I have put one more photo up that was taken right after the procedures, and now 4 days later it still looks the same. Andrea is the best, highly recommend her to anyone!!
Beautiful pics, thanks for sharing them. Will you make any more appointments after Friday's session? I can relate to the pain issue. When I have my eyebrows waxed, it seems much more painful than giving birth. I'm not sure why but it just does.
I'm looking forward to your update after Friday's appointment.
It looks as if the pictures are cropped. If you want the full photo to be seen without having to click on it, then please upload the uncropped version of the photos. Let me know if you need help with that.
